Cowslip Cottage

The cottage was perfect, having all we needed for our holiday. It was located in the heart of the countryside but only a few miles from Tiverton, supermarkets and EV charging points. The hosts were friendly and met us on arrival to show us round, even though there was a key lock we could have used.The garden was an excellent place for us to relax, enjoying the views over rolling hills whilst our small dog wandered round the contained garden, sniffing or lying down on the grass enjoying the peace and quiet. We visited a few of the beaches on the south coast, East Budleigh being our favourite as it was unspoilt, having a pebble beach, a car-park, two cafes and toilets.

We liked everything.

Jane and Chris were phenomenal hosts who truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. We felt incredibly welcome, yet they also gave us the perfect amount of privacy to relax and enjoy everything at our own pace. The fireplace, the spacious living area, and the peaceful, beautiful surroundings made it such a memorable experience—we didn’t even feel the need to turn the TV on. The pictures really don’t do this place justice—it’s even more beautiful in person. For future guests, it would be helpful if the listing made it clearer that there are two toilets, both with showers. Also, don’t forget that the “what3words” location is needed to find the property easily. We’ll definitely be returning. Thank you so much, Jane & Chris ❤️
