Beautiful grounds, definitely feels like a private escape. Enjoyed the pool with floaties, corn hole. Nice to have a volleyball net and ball (we would have played but the grass was uneven and bugs!).
With the grass- there are deep grooves cut in (likely for drainage), which makes tripping a hazard. Also, many small bug bites again likely from the grass. Nothing really within the control of staff.

Such a beautiful, well-manicured and well-maintained property. The landscaping is even better in person. The caretakers are friendly and helpful. The villa felt private even though there were others on property. There was a large jug of drinking water included. Keep in mind there isn’t a microwave or hair blow dryer. The parking lot for a waterfall hike is on the same dirt road to the villa. We stayed here for the location - close to the waterfall and Caracol Maya ruins. The host was very responsive and helpful with questions or tips. Smart tv made it say to stream Netflix at night! Lots of yard games, volleyball etc.
The bed and linens were high quality but the mattress was a bit hard for my taste. The couch bed was fine for my young kids but I wouldn’t recommend for adults or teens. Sadly the pool was so cold. Remember it’s a jungle so bugs were prevalent outside but none came inside the villa with us.

It was so nice to have our own little villa in the rainforest. The area felt so secluded but also very clean and safe. We also had trails to a waterfall and cave towards the back of the property which was great for exploring when we didn’t feel like driving. The room was well stocked and we had everything we needed for our stay. We were really impressed by how well the screens kept the bugs out and we loved laying in the hammock in the screened in porch. It was a bit cold to swim in the pool but we liked heading there in the evenings to relax and enjoy the evening. It was also wonderful to use the grill by the pool and super easy.
