    It seems like this hostel is on the very top of the hill. It probably isn't but I don't know the city that well. It seems like you're always climbing a hill to get there. Staff was great. Room was clean. Awesome place!

    Context is everything. I’m a global business traveler now accustomed to 4 and 5 star hotels but have also backpacked (and continue to backpack) many a place and I tagged the LX on to a 4-day work trip to Lisbon for the weekend. Bottom line - I like the LX. It’s a cute little place just off the main stretch and surrounded by restaurants and bars, catering to just about everyone. I booked a single room with attached bath. Access is easy with the door code, the breakfast is continental I.e no cooked eggs but more than adequate (just make sure you get there between 830 and 930 else the pasties de nata run out). Staff are friendly and the lounge area is great for meeting other travelers. It’s not air conditioned so if you need that, then this place is not for you. Didn’t bother me, especially not in October. It’s also quiet enough in the late and early hours to leave the window open. I booked this late and tbh was a little nervous when reading some google reviews but it worked out well. People will always complain about something. Just know what you’re getting. If you want the 4 and 5 stars, plenty of those in the city. If you want simple and good, this would work well, no worries

    If you are of plus size ,the bathrooms are going to be a real challenge...not a chance in the shower and best of luck with the toilet situation...i am 5-8,170 lb's...in otherwords, small by today's standards. Otherwise was just f

    The people at the reception only ven though there where nice, they only spoke English, not even Portuguese. Aren't we in Lisbon? The room I was assigned didn't really look like the pictures. There's way too much editing in the pictures. My watch disappeared from my room. The staff didn't provide any support or anything. Breakfast was good.
