    We have been travelling to Kefalonia for 12 years and until this year we always stayed at a hotel outside of Skala. This year we chose Melidron and were not disappointed. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a decent size and the bathroom had a 'proper' shower cubicle. Only down side was the air conditioningcdidnt work in pur room. The manager offered to move us in a couple of days when acroom became available we we chose to stay put. It was the end of September so not so hot.

    This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel. Lovely pool, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is close enough to the centre to walk, with plenty of places to eat close by if you don't

    The hotel has a lovely pool area, is in a great location for a quiet and relaxing break, yet a short walk to restaurants, supermarkets, beach and Scala town. Generally the staff are great and the rooms are cleaned daily to a great standard. The breakfast was also very good. The only that let it down was the pool bar, which ran out of beer on several occasions and was left unmanned at times. Unfortunately, the lady that ran it during the day seemed disinterested, which put a lot of people off using it. If they sorted the bar out and made sure it operated to consistent hours then it would be even better.

    New owners, accepted my booking but day before holiday informed they could not put me up for first three days, told plumbing problem. 12 hours before flight after chasing them I got temp accommodation. I was good transfer back to Melidron would be arranged. Went into Melidron on day of arrival, work going on all over, had being decorated and was told by staff that they weren't ready. Chased and chased them about my transfer told it would arruve, never did
