Makis Hotel

Most of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Location of hotel is fantastic, 5 min walk from centre. We had a lovely big balcony but a lot of rooms don’t have a view, some look into a brick wall. It is spotlessly clean

Breakfast was fine but would say the following: no fresh milk, longlife. No freshly prepared hot food (unless you paid), coffee not good but can buy cappuccino from bar downstairs. Limited cereal option. Rooms are small, very little storage. We had a wardrobe and 1 drawer each but friends had no drawers at all. Shower cubicle was tiny, you could not pick something off the shower tray very easily or to wash your feet, couldn’t bend over. Very limited space to put wash bags, make up etc. Bath towels very small! However, would still return to this hotel, there are more luxurious hotels but they are a taxi ride from the town

Great location and lovely relaxing hotel.Really nice seating areas around the bar and pool.

Bit more variety at breakfast but this is a minor quibble.

We had a fantastic room with balcony looking out to the sea, the breakfast was lovely, the private sun beds on the beach were great.

The location was great. Very central and direct access to the beach.

The staff were ok, not as friendly as to what we have experienced in other hotels on the island. You had to pay $20 for two beach towels, cash only, which you got back at the end of your stay. I was told you could get a discount for beach chairs as a hotel guest which was not the case. The breakfast was poor and if you wanted a proper coffee you had to pay for it. The room was not made up to our bedding requirement. Overall very average for the price.
