A winter fairytale

The hosts are young, super friendly and attentive. They welcome pets as well, we had ours with us. We were in a small apartment with a balcony with astonishing view over the village square and the mountains and the valley behind. The whole building takes you back to the past, it is renovated and rustically designed. It was clean, warm (end of December, with a little snow all around us), cosy, peaceful, quiet. We enjoyed our walks around the village, also to the nearby ski lift, Zelenci, Kranjska Gora, went cross country skiing a few times in Rateče. Oh, they have their own parkings. - We had a great time!

There is always room for improvement, but at this point I cannot think of one thing I did not like. :)

Heating was difficult, we only had cold air. No curtains in the bedroom, only a mosquito net.

Comfortable apartment in the Julian Alps

The accommodation is in a beautiful location, and the village is quiet and peaceful. The apartment was well laid out, with two bedrooms opening onto a communal area (kitchen and dining area). The guesthouse is run by a young couple who were very friendly and did their best to meet all our needs.

The village is quite small, so you have to go to the nearby town for shopping, and there is a basic restaurant opposite the accommodation. Definitely recommended for guests with cars.

A charming getaway

The apartment is really spacious and offers a queen bed bedroom, as well as a children bedroom with 3 bunk beds. The living/dinning area is truly spacious. I went there for a race, and it was a short car ride away from the start in Kranjska gora. The staff is really friendly. It looks like an old large inn, truly charming, with a lot of character. Cozy and quiet, I recommend it if you are looking for authenticity rather than a luxury resort feel. Would love to be back!

Very atmospheric apartment in the northern Julien Alps. Plenty of space. Very quaint village. Free parking. There was a friendly, pleasant staff member on-site to let us in.

Great view of the mountains in a quaint old style hotel

The hotel has a very cool vibe, with interesting decorations in the communal space. The room had a great view of the mountains and the town, and the included kitchen was a nice touch.

The couch was a little uncomfortable to sit on, and the doorframes were a little short so my husband hit his head several times, if you are tall be aware of this.

A building of beautiful character and a great base for site seeing

Absolutely loved the quiet location of this 500 year old building with so much character. It was spotlessly clean. It was great to have reserved free parking for us as as being walkers we could leave the car and walk to all the local sites. There is a walking path that connects Zelenci to Kransk Gora and we walked to the Jezero Jasna. A pleasant couple of days doing this walk. We also drove to Villach in Austria and drove to Kobaird there and back via the Vrisic pass. We picked up provisions in the car as there is no supermarket or kiosk shop in this village. There is a restaurant opposite the apartments if needed that also does breakfast. But we didn’t go in there as we had every We needed. It was also nice to have booked a room with a balcony so sat outside playing games in the evening. But we also made use of the communal lounge in the evening when it got chilly on the balcony or if we needed internet or a bit more space as the wifi signal was not great in our room. I would definitely rebook These apartments on our return to Kransk Gora.

Perfect village

Žan was an amazing host. There was nothing that was too much, he was very sweet and helpful. Our apartment was so cute and had everything a person needs. The scenery was so stunning. The location was very close to Kranjska Gora. There’s also a nice walking path across the main road. 35 minutes to Lake Bled. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a wish, not a need, but an ice tray and toaster would be nice. Again, we managed just fine. 😉

Nice, relaxed and spontaneous staff, comfy Appartement with charme - very good value for money! Good location to explore the surroundings and a good start to explore Slovenia.

Nothing! Please note that it’s a historical place and not a modern hotel. Tiny hint: the bed (at least in app. 3) is pretty soft. ;)

We stopped here to start Triglav. The hosts met us late. It is convenient to get to the Krma Valley - no more than 40 minutes. The apartments have almost everything you need.

The staff is really amazing, as soon as we arrived they prepared a route for us so that we wouldn't miss anything in the area, a stunning location with perfect lakes in the area, everyone is really nice, and the place is lovely, the room is also like we entered a set from a movie :)

Great apartment, would recommend!

The flat was spacious, great value for the money. The bathroom was clean, the beds comfortable and there was a lot of space to put your luggage and hang out. The building has a lovely common area where you can socialise. The furniture design is old-fashioned, which contributes to the country experience. And it was cheap! Excellent flat, will visit again!
