Breakfast was cooked to my individual preference & was served hot & freshly cooked. My host was friendly & helpful. As a single woman I felt safe.

Sue was a wonderful host and was extremely welcoming when we arrived at the guesthouse and throughout our stay in Whitstable, providing us with much local knowledge and information. The cooked breakfast was excellent and we had a choice of three timeslots to choose when we wanted to have breakfast. The breakfast room, which doubled up as a dining room for any meals other than breakfast that guests might wish to consume in the guesthouse, was comfortable, tastefully decorated with family photographs, ornaments and artwork. The room benefited from getting the morning sunlight which streamed through a bay window when we were having our breakfast. On the landing outside our bedroom was a fridge where we could store bottles of water, white wine and and any other items that had to be kept cold. In the room there was a supply of bottled water and tea & coffee along with everything needed to make a cup of tea and/or coffee. My partner and I were particularly impressed by how comfortable we were when sleeping. Sue told me that, having bought quite an expensive mattress for her own use and finding how comfortable it was, she decided to buy the same mattresses for the guestrooms. It was certainly a very good investment as both my partner and I slept extremely well. We were never too hot or cold in the room as there was an adjustable radiator along with a small Dyson heater which could be used to adequately heat up or cool the room as required. In addition, it was possible to open the bedroom windows, if necessary. Overall, the premises were extremely clean tidy and comfortable. Sue was very attentive and welcoming host and catered to all our needs.

I don't think there is anything that could have been better. Both my partner and I were absolutely satisfied with everything provided and with Sue's very welcoming and accommodating hospitality.

It was clean, bright and had all the facilities you needed. Bed was huge and comfortable. Host was exceptionally helpful and even posted on some camera batteries we left behind and refused being reimbursed for the cost and bother.

Radio 2 playing in the background at breakfast ! We had a cooked English breakfast every day, which was well prepared but I would have preferred more choice for breakfast, although I have to admit I didn’t ask.

Dedicated parking space is a definitely a bonus in busy with tourists town.

Lemon Room is more for a single than double occupancy. It's VERY cosy, snuggly, some may say... to small for two.
