About this bed and breakfast
This comfortable chalet offers the perfect retreat for couples, whether you're relaxing outdoors on the comfortable bean bags with a morning coffee or enjoying a sundowner. Take a leisurely stroll into Tankerton or Whitstable town to explore the numerous dining options available.
You check in using a key box code. I do however live near the bungalow so if you need anything or have any questions, I am only a phone call away and a short stroll.
Nestled in a quiet location, Little Bright House is just a ten-minute stroll from Tankerton beach and its charming shops, cafés, and restaurants. The grassy slopes of Tankerton gently lead to the promenade, where you can enjoy a swim in the sea or witness Whitstable's renowned and stunning sunsets. For the more active, tennis courts are also available to book.
A further fifteen-minute walk past the beautiful Tankerton Castle and its gardens will bring you to the heart of Whitstable town, with its historic working harbour. Here, you can sample Whitstable's famous fresh seafood or embark on a boat trip to explore the WW2 sea forts.
You have access to all areas in the property.
After parking on your private driveway, step through the front door into this bright and airy space.
The fully equipped kitchen provides all the necessary amenities, including a washing machine and dishwasher. Guests can choose to dine at either the breakfast bar or the dining table.
The cosy living space, complete with a smart TV and board games for entertainment, features patio doors that open to one of the outdoor areas.
During the warmer months, guests can enjoy al-fresco dining in this sunny courtyard or simply unwind with a captivating book. For a peaceful morning coffee, another secluded outdoor space awaits just outside the kitchen door.
The comfortable king-size bedroom, furnished with complementary pieces, offers ample space for storing your clothes.
The bathroom is conveniently located opposite the bedroom and features a large walk-in rain shower, toilet, basin, and heated towel rail.
There is off street parking for 1 car and there is free street parking on the road and surrounding roads.
You can also visit the 'Just Park' website to find out where to park in Whitstable.
There are frequent buses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along Tankerton Road etc.
The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
There are also Taxi services available for short fares or airport runs. The nearest airport is in London and the Ferry port is in Dover.

Please keep a noise to a minimum after 10pm to respect the neighbours.

A bright, clean and contemporarily furnished space with everything we needed. There were just a couple of (minor) niggles such as the fact that there's very little space to get around the bottom of the bed if you need the bathroom in the night and the bathroom cabinet could be moved higher up the wall; its current position inhibits access to the sink.But otherwise we had no complaints and we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed 15-18 Nov. Regular updates from VRBO and owner giving clear instruction about checking in which was available rom 1200 and not the advertised 1500.
Off road parking for an SUV was a bonus. Really quiet road.
Immaculate / modern interior with everything bar personal toiletries supplied. Good information folder on the breakfast bar. Ideally located - 15-20 min "stroll" into the centre whilst 5 mins or so straight into Tankerton for plenty of local restaurants / bars / shops (including a Tesco express and Premier).
Really comfortable king size bed. Practically all the pin sockets have double USB ports so no need for plugs. TV in lounge and bedroom including Prime / Netflix etc providing you use your personal log in.
Underfloor heating throughout with thermostats in lounge and bedroom.
Spoke to owner on final evening as walking home. They live next door.

First class base to explore Whitstable, Canterbury and other Kent areas. Easy drive to Dover Castle and a welcome retreat when we arrived back after long days out.
Everything we required to make our stay so enjoyable.
