Mediterranean Escape

It's a good option for a vacation in Airlie Beach. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with two balconies offering both sea and hillside views. The accommodation is at the far end of the Mediterranean Resort, making it a quiet place to stay. Although you'll need to climb a steep hill to get there, the views are definitely worth it. If you are a nature lover, you may even be greeted by cockatoos on the balcony from time to time. When booking a hotel transfer from PPP, you can request to be dropped off at the Mediterranean Resort.

Overall hygiene was OK, though there is room for improvement - e.g. there could be small ants in the bathroom, but overall they were harmless and had little impact on our stay. The blinds didn't block out morning light very well. Since the accommodation is managed remotely, there is no frontdesk; in an emergency, you'd need to call the after-hours hotline. Fortunately, we never had to use it, as everything was fine during our stay.

The location was very convenient for getting to the supermarket, and the views were absolutely beautiful. The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed, and both the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and were very happy to spend our holiday here.

The curtains did not block out the light very well, so the room became quite bright early in the morning, which affected our sleep. Also, the road back to the property is quite steep, so walking uphill can be a little tiring.

The views are beautiful in both directions. It is spacious, quiet and comfortable.

It is very close to everything but the hill from the centre is steep (hence the gorgeous views). That was not a problem for me but my 90 year old father had to take rests along the way. If you have a car then that is no problem. Uber is good too.

Apartment 15 is very comfortable and well appointed, with everything you could want for a multi-night stay. The beds were very comfortable and the tv in the lounge room is huge, with many apps. Key code entry was very convenient. Hosts were very responsive and provided requested items very quickly. The pools are lovely, with stunning views. It’s a very convenient location, although the hill is very steep.

There is no tv in the second bedroom. The views are from the sides of the apartment, not a full front-facing view of Airlie Beach. The floors were very dirty and made our feet black. There are many apartments around the property and one night people in another complex talked on their balcony until 3am (luck of the draw). The property’s driveway is very steep and challenging to navigate. For travellers coming by car, not the garage is very small and does not fit a full size 4WD with racks etc on the roof (due to the angle it’s lower than the standard 2.1m). Visitor parking is very minimal and spots on the road fill up quickly.
