My family of 5 absolutely loved our stay at Southern Cross! The house was beautiful and as described with ocean views from the top floor and a beautiful pool on the main floor. My kids loved the pool and also the very short walk to the beach. The beach was amazing with some rocky areas and other wide sandy areas and perfect for my kids to play in the waves. My daughter really enjoyed her surf lesson! We loved how the house was quiet and secluded but also a quick trip into Santa Theresa for great restaurants and coffee shops. Additionally, Melissa and Minor were super great as house managers. They were quick with communication and on top of any issues that we had straight away. We would definitely recommend Southern Cross for your stay in Costa Rica!

After surviving the school year during a pandemic, being able to relax with a beautiful view was perfect.
The view each morning, the openness of the house, the safety we felt while there, couldn’t have been any better.
Everything was better than I even imagined. This will be out new go to place!!!

Southern Cross is absolutely breathtaking . With an effortless 280 degree view of the ocean, glass doors/windows that open up completely, and so many places to sit and soak it all in, you feel truly at one with the Santa Teresa lifestyle! But with an interior that is decorated as minimally “beach-chic” as this, you almost want to be inside as much as out. So much thought has been put into everything at Southern Cross, from the architecture, to the decor, and even the little details like thick towels, and crisp sheets.
The walk from the home to the beach is easy, and although there is a road to cross, the view of the ocean from the hillside is so magnificent, that the location makes sense. Once you get to Playa Hermosa, you will feel it is almost a private beach just for you, as there are so few people to share it with!
You will want some sort of vehicle, either car, ATV, or golf cart to get to town, as the road leading there is narrow and mostly dirt. But once you’re there, ST is filled with great places to eat, surf, do yoga, and shop.
Lastly, Melissa is the hostess with the mostess!! She is so easy to communicate with, super friendly and helpful, and has a ton of recommendations for everything from canopy tours to fishing trips to restaurants. Our hot water went out, and when we let her know, she was on it immediately, and it was fixed pronto. I can honestly say she is the best property manager we’be ever had the pleasure of dealing with, and we’ve stayed in many vacation rentals.
We fell in love with Costa Rica and Santa Teresa on this trip, and are certain that staying at Southern Cross played a huge part!! Would go back and stay there in a heartbeat 💗�
