A very special place close to the Swiss-Italian border

It is a very exceptional location (one might even write magic place) next to an old church on a rock high above the valley. The restaurant uses a lot of products from the own farm (salads, sirup). The food was excellent and the owner was very welcoming and nice.

Great place!

Fantastic location. It looms up on the horizontal at the end of a long walk and welcomes you with a glass of delicious craft beer. What's not to like? The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food - a delicious three course meal with wine and coffee which would do credit to any restaurant, never mind one half way up a mountain! Highly recommended.

Perfect mix between a Berghütte and a Hotel

Everything amazing, if you want to experience a mountain cabin but with the comfort (almost) of a hotel you should try here. Perfect starting point for numerous hiking trails. The food is the best:) Thanks Gino and team.

Schöne Umgebung und sehr empfehlenswert

Am 1. August gab es für die Kinder einen Laternenumzug. Trampolin im Garten hat unseren Kindern besonders gefallen! Das Essen, Glühwein und Spiele hat uns Eltern super gefallen. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

Der Ort ist wunderschön, die Atmosphäre könnte besser sein!

Die Natur war ausserordentlich schön! Die Ruhe wohltuend und einzigartig. Das Nachtessen lecker. Das Zimmer war sehr klein aber sauber!

Der Umgang der Chefin war kumpelhaft bis unfreundlich. Sie kommunizierte nicht klar, wie das Checkin etc verläuft. Bei der Aufforderung zur verfrühten Bezahlung fand sie klare Worte! Das „Morgenbuffet“ war leergeräumt. Nachschub erfolgte widerwillig. Ihr Mann und das Team war sehr freundlich.

Erlebnis auf der Alpe San Romerio: Herzlichkeit, Ausblick und Genuss

Wir haben eine Nacht auf der Alpe San Romerio verbracht und es war ein wirklich besonderes Erlebnis. Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto von Brusio ist sehr steil und kurvig – nichts für Menschen mit Höhenangst, aber wer ein bisschen Abenteuerlust mitbringt, hat definitiv Spaß daran. Danach geht es noch ca. 15–20 Minuten zu Fuß bergauf zur Alpe. Oben angekommen wird man mit einer traumhaften Aussicht belohnt. Wir haben direkt auf der Alpe übernachtet, dort auch gegessen – und es war einfach rundum großartig: Alles war super sauber, das Essen fantastisch, und die Menschen vor Ort unglaublich herzlich und freundlich. Man spürt sofort die familiäre Atmosphäre und fühlt sich einfach nur wohl. Ein Ort zum Entschleunigen, Genießen und Auftanken – wir können die Alpe San Romerio absolut weiterempfehlen!
