This Fabulous, Contemporary-styled Holiday Home represents everything a coastal holiday should offer. Spacious, large and beautifully furnished, it is ideal for those wanting to be within a minute’s walking distance of village amenities but want a luxurious, quiet retreat to return to.

SailAway is just a few minutes' stroll into the bustling, vibrant village with its working harbour, pubs, eateries, golf course, children's activities, shops and boat trips to the fabulous Farne Islands -a sanctuary for 23 species of bird and seal colonies. SailAway is also perfectly located for long lazy days on the beach and glorious coastal walks and is just a few minutes’ drive from Bamburgh - famed for its beautiful village and iconic castle.

Visitors will appreciate the attention to detail, which have attracted many positive reviews. Designer wallpapers, nautical styling and furniture from Feather and Black, and Barker and Stonehouse; coupled with the great location ensures that a stay here will feel like a very special holiday.

This place is worth every penny. We had a family of grandparents, parents and children (3,4,7) stay and it was brilliant. The location is fab, super quiet but a stones throw from the shops which was great as grandma can’t walk far. The house itself was huge. Plenty of space to play and relax. The outdoor area was brilliant for the kids to play and for me to sit in the sun with a coffee. The dining table was great and everything you needed in the big kitchen was there - not that we cooked anything but toast! Beds were super comfy, towels and linen were all great quality, and everything was super clean. I was surprised at how spacious all the bedrooms were. The boys loved the tubs of toys too. We even took the outdoor foldable beach chairs to the beach for the grandparents which was fab. Don’t hesitate. So good to have multiple bathrooms and a spacious place. Seashouses town is amazing too, we had a brilliant time and took a boat ride to see the puffins and visited Bamburgh castle.

The property was simply wonderful! It catered for the needs of all four generations (aged 2 to 93) of our family on our annual holiday. The house was very clean and tidy, well kept and looked after, maintained to a high level. All things supplied from towels to toilet roll. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you might need even down to the likes of salt, pepper and spices. However, the addition of a welcome pack, including milk and cake, was a pleasing (and very thoughtful) sight. In fact, we even went into the local supplier where the cake was made and purchased some more as a result. We have being going on these family trips now for well over a decade and of all the houses we've stayed in, this one was our favourite. We very much hope to return in the furture. The space was plentiful, no one got under anyones feet, the garden was very pretty and relaxing, parking was perfect, the beds and bedrooms were comfortable and inviting and there were more than enough bathrooms to ensure there was never a queue! The proximity to the town and seafront is amazing, literally only a 3-5 minute walk as stated even with little legs in tow. Thank you so much for having us, we loved our stay at SailAway, Seahouses!

We all enjoyed a lovely stay in 'Sail Away' which is very spacious, clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and everything certainly suited our group requirements with an age range from 82yrs to 7months. It is in an ideal location for all amenities in Seahouses and exactly fitted the remit of my special birthday celebration. The garden is private, with a patio door which spills out from the large kitchen area and the forecourt has off road parking for 4 cars, which is just another bonus for offloading and loading especially with youngsters around. The kitchen area is well equipped and wants for nothing, however perhaps the toaster needs replacing as it was difficult to toast 4 slices at once because the toasting slots on the right side would not stay in position. The only other negative is to replace the travel cot...because one side of the cot would not stay up...which didnt effect the use for my grandson of 7months sleeping in it this time, however if he had been a little older he would have been able to climb out of the broken side, which would have been a worry. All in all a great stay, and certainly one we would all love to do again sometime. My thanks to the proprietors!

Sail away was a beautiful spacious house within walking distance of all amenities in Seahouses. It was perfect for 5 couples. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved gathering around the large kitchen table. The log burner was great as we weren’t blessed with sunshine. Plenty off street parking too. Just perfect!

Very impressed with Sail Away cottage, location very good, cleanliness exceptional, rooms large and airy, very well equipped. Would certainly recommend. Would return. Only issue is that VRBO had hot tub listed in amenities however the hot tub is actually at the local leisure centre, the owner has requested VRBO amend this.

The house provided the perfect stay for a group of friends. The main rooms are a great size for all gathering together then there are lovely bedrooms and ensuites, all with the qualities of a top hotel. Everyone who came thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend.

This is the second time in three years we have rented this house and once again it didn't disappoint. Beds were all comfortable and communal areas were very functional and comfortable. Ideally it would be great to make a couple of improvements. The microwave could do with replacing as the front is peeling slightly and the shower over the bath needs adjusting so that the water flow is smooth not stuttery and the shower head needs to be stabilised. Neither of these items spoilt our stay as there were others to share but it would be an improvement if these items were addressed.

Comfy beds and furniture. Large en-suites. Quiet despite being so central to Seahouses. Regular bus service a couple of mins walk away.

We loved our stay, it was a comfortable house and there was plenty of space for everyone. The property was clean and tidy. There was everything we needed and more. The location was in nice area and only a few minutes walk to the centre of Seahouses. A great base for exploring the surrounding area as well. There was only two small things that we noticed, there was no shaver electrical sockets in any of the bathrooms and no shelves or caddy within the en-suite showers for your shampoo and shower gel etc. Not really a problem for most, but our family comprises of ages from 8 to 91, so bending down can be a bit of a problem. As I said, minor things. Overall the house was wonderful, spacious and comfortable and would definitely recommend it for a stay.

We went to Seahouses to celebrate my in laws golden wedding, there were 6 adults and 5 kids (8-15). The layout of the house was perfect, there was enough space inside and out for us all to be together without us feeling onbtop.of wach other. The location being just a stroll from the centre of Seahouses was so convenient. We were really lucky and had glorious sunshine spending the weekend on the beach. We all.had a lovely time and didn't want to come home!

Came from america to spend time with English family, great place to get together. We had elderly parents so ground floor suite was perfect. Kitchen had everything including large pots to cook for crowd. Beds& bedding were very comfortable and rooms were large. Even had toys for 21 month old and the fenced yard was appreciated for her too. CoOp was very close, 1 min walk and everything else we needed was in easy walking distance. Wonderful vacation! And Elaine was very responsive to all my questions :)

We’ve stayed in this property before and we enjoyed our stay again. There’s loads of room in the house, there are five big bedrooms and the kitchen is a great communal space. It’s well positioned in Seahouses, a very short walk to shops and the harbour.

We visited in May for four days and could not have been more impressed with this fantastic accommodation. Everything we could possibly need had been provided and the décor and furnishings were lovely. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which after long days of exploring were very much appreciated. The area itself is beautiful with lots to do within easy reach. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We just had 3 nights at Sail Away with our 2 sons and 3 grandchildren following our Golden Wedding Anniversary party. Everything about the property was as described. Spacious, clean, warm, extremely comfortable and in great location for everything. Communication with the owner was easy and all questions were answered promptly. Lots of space to chill, all the rooms are spacious and clean. Very well equipped kitchen, and yummy Swiss roll to welcome us. Great location, lots to do and see and a few minutes walk from the beach. Would definitely recommend and also would stay here again. Thank you.

Beautiful and spacious house

The house is absolutely lovely and perfect for a big group. We spent time here for Christmas and it was perfect for our family, which ranged from children (8 and 5), parents, grandparents and a great grandmother. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need including a range master and big fridge freezer and the house is a great size with a lovely big kitchen diner and a massive lounge so you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. We really enjoyed a relaxing break. A couple of small suggestions to make my review a 5*: - Add a handrail to the downstairs shower for those less mobile as my nan had nothing to hold on to - For Christmas breaks decorating the house with a tree and a few decorations would make it extra special and less hassle having to take your own on top of everything else Thanks for a lovely stay. We enjoyed it so much that we did ask if we could book to stay an extra night!
