What an amazing property in a fantastic location. The house had plenty of living space downstairs and there were ample beds and combinations for our family. We had a jam packed weekend walked to Bamburgh castle and caught the bus back to Seahouses. We went crabbing at Beadnell bay. We had a boat trip to the Farne Islands and played crazy golf so there is plenty to do locally.

The house is a perfect size for our family, and there is plenty of room to spread out. This is our third visit! The owner and housekeeper respond to any queries immediately. It is so convenient for the beach, the harbour and the shops! And as an added bonus the weather was amazing! We had a trip to the Farnes, and visited Warkworth Castle. Several sessions on the beach, including a glorious day on Bamburgh beach. The children loved the playground at Alnwick Castle and enjoyed swimming at the Ocean Club. And what’s a holiday if you don’t go on the slots!? There is so much to do in the area. Thank you!

Very spacious property, loved the open plan living area. Children enjoyed having their own sitting room. Very well equipped for the number of people and a very generous welcome pack. Lots of extras like fishing nets and the emergency box. All the bedrooms comfortable and good size. A few small improvements Not enough breakfast cereal bowls. Had to use pasta bowlsElectric shower in bathroom malfunctioned Shower in en-suite wouldn’t stay in position - kep drooping Could not get the television in small sitting room to work. Would not connect to BT boxVelum blind in upstairs twin bedroom didn’t open correctly. We had a wonderful family weekend in spite of the weather. The location was excellent and so close to the beach. The house was so well equipped from everything you needed in the kitchen to plenty of games etc to keep everyone amused, and plenty of space as well. We will definitely come back again.

This was our second stay at the property. It's fabulous for larger group with plenty of space and it's really well equipped. It could do with a little refresh here and there but that wouldn't stop us booking again.

The house is great, really well set up for a big family group with a fantastic kitchen and shared spaces. The location by the beach was perfect and access to the swimming pool was really fun. The instructions to get in to the pool were a bit tricky, but easily managed.

The house is on a small estate on the outer edge of Seahouses. so a bit of a walk into the town, but great pubs and eateries when you get there. a very spacious ground floor area, with separate laundry area. plenty of soft seating, as well as dining seating. The bedroom layout would be more suitable for a family gathering than we nine mature friends sharing, as one bedroom had bunk beds, another had twin beds and no wardrobe/hanging area, so it would be more suitable for children than adults, and on the top (second floor) floor you had to go through a twin room to reach the shower room.

The property was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It was perfect for a family group. Pleasant 15 min walk along the sand dunes into Seahouses and great surrounding area to explore by car. Craster, taking in the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle was one of our highlights. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely week staying in this home, 6 adults, one baby and some dogs. Loads of space, parking for 3 cars, easy walk to the beach and the town. Some great pubs nearby. Super comfy beds, lots of kitchen equipment for cooking for a crowd. Peaceful location but not far to lots of activities. Helpful information available and easy to communicate with the owner. My only wish would be for the second TV to also be a smart TV. Just would be helpful when folks have different TV favs.

We enjoyed our stay at Seahouses. The house was very nice and spacious. There was plenty room for a family group of 10 plus dog. It was well equipped and clean. The only downside was two rusty radiators. Having said that we would stay there again if we were in the area.

The house is really lovely with a great location. It's on the edge of Seahouses but you can walk to the town. The area was quiet. There's lots of room in the house and it's very sociable with the kitchen and lounge/dining area together. There's also a separate lounge. Lovely welcome hamper and lots of equipment. Property in need of a little TLC. It wouldn't take a lot of work but definitely needed. A little more care to make sure tables and tops are wiped down properly dishes place mats and pots left clean. Television in small lounge not working. No instructions for central heating Outside needs to be tidied-up as well. We had a lovely time together and the house is very near to the beach.

Another brilliant stay at Mayflower Cottage. The location is great for access to the beach and Seahouses. We had lovely walks on the beach, great food in The Bamburgh Castle and Craster Arms, and lots of fun at games night in the cottage. All 10 of us, from 8 years to 80 years old sitting round the table playing cards and roulette.

Plenty of space for everyone and a quick path walk past the little park to the lovely beach and sea. Loved the children’s play room and separate dining area, they had so much fun! Comfortable bedrooms for everyone and bathrooms spread out so everyone had their space! Handy restaurants and take aways nearby and the Ocean Club a treat to use with friendly staff.

Overall an ideal property when meeting the needs of a family with a wide age range. Easy walking access to beach and rock pools and short drive to other places of interest . Walking distance to Seahouses. Property could be improved by replacing hose on en suite shower as leaking which meant low pressure from shower head. Garden at front of property needed tidying, it made property look uncared for.

Beautiful house 5 mins from the beach , well equipped with 2 fridges , 2 ovens plenty of crockery etc could just do with some plastic cups for the children. Lovely luxury bath sheets which were the biggest I've used . All in all a beautiful house , was just disappointed with the garden as it looked bigger on the picture and was also overgrown so the children didn't get chance to play out in it , but all in all a lovely family holiday home .

Just spent a long weekend with nine family members at Mayflower Cottage in Seahouses in Northumberland. The house catered for all our needs. A very spacious six bedroomed property with everything you could wish for. A two minute walk to the beach. Plenty of places to eat and drink in Seahouses.
