Yala Redhill

Le Yala Redhill est un endroit tout simplement fabuleux : situé en pleine jungle, avec l’océan juste à côté, l’ambiance est magique du matin au soir. Le personnel est extraordinaire, toujours serviable, souriant et attentionné. Ils nous ont accueillis avec un jus frais à l’arrivée, puis avec une noix de coco à notre retour du safari. Ce sont des petites attentions qui font toute la différence. Les chambres sont grandes, le lit est spacieux et très confortable, et l’endroit dégage une énergie paisible que nous avons vraiment appréciée. Le safari a été organisé pour nous, même à la dernière minute et nous avons été très heureux de pouvoir compter sur leur aide. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour merveilleux dans un cadre exceptionnel.

Sur Booking, il est indiqué que les chambres sont équipées de l’air conditionné, mais une fois sur place, nous avons découvert qu’il fallait payer un supplément pour l’utiliser. Ce n’est pas une grande somme, mais cela aurait été apprécié d’être clairement mentionné. De plus, nos messages envoyés avant l’arrivée via Booking sont restés sans réponse, ce qui nous a obligés à tout organiser à la dernière minute. Le propriétaire a bien sûr aidé une fois sur place, mais une communication plus proactive aurait rendu l’expérience encore meilleure. Enfin, le contact avec le propriétaire était correct, sans plus, et pourrait être amélioré pour être à la hauteur du reste du personnel, qui, lui, est vraiment exceptionnel.

De locatie is geweldig, zo aan het strand, en wat voor strand, geweldig! Het personeel is ook enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam, met een zeer uitgebreid ontbijt. Daarnaast is de eigenaar behulpzaam, ook in het regelen van bijv de safari.

De accommodatie zelf is wel echt wat meer basic. Tevens is de locatie top, aan het strand, maar ook echt wel afgelegen. Wij durfden niet in de avond terug te lopen vanaf het restaurant halve km verderop. Gelukkig genoeg tuk tuks om je wel even terug te brengen.

Location is good but difficult to reach as the access road is poor. The staff is wonderfull. Thusita was very attentive as he runs it form Australia but is efficient online through Booking and whatsapp. The beds are good however the bathrooms need attention and updating. Water pressure is very low so difficult to shower and hardly any water out of the tap in the washbasin. All in all the place needs atention. It is a beautiful spot with a lot of trees and very natural. Goes on to the beach however to access the beach for a walk there is a river which divides it and the river has crocodiles so dont try to swim accross. The sea in the area is rough. We loved the farm and the people. Very quiet. The description in Booking is wrong as it says you have the whole house to yourself. However there are four dfferent houses. One with 2 Bedrooms and the other two with one each so it has 4 bedroos and not 7 as stated in Booking. Thusita is aware of this as he did menton it so that needs to be corrected.
