Style over substance

Quiet beautiful location at an eclectic chateau in the midst of a golf course.

Lack of immediate connection to staff. There was no 'concierge' to meet us as they said and the key was left in a lock box. The info was lacking on how to turn heating on & how to use oven (which has a curious temperature gauge in watts!) The lighting was just ambient, with the dimmer light in the bathroom stuck on low so you couldn't see to shave or put makeup on. The extractor fan didn't work and there was mould on the ceiling. The drains need clearing as the water was slow to go. The kitchen photo was deceptive as it looks a lot bigger than it actually was. Couldn't use the oven as no instructions and the freezer door wouldn't open as the door jammed on the floor. There was no handwash and only two tiny bottles of shower gel & one cheap toilet roll for three people for a 4 day stay. I emailed the company re these problems and received a reply 2 days later, but only about the heating. We had an elderly person with us so the lack of heating in the main rooms was a concern. She also felt the shower dangerous as it had a smooth floor with dim lighting and there was no grab rail. The place looks good but lacked in the basics and so I felt it was expensive. Also beware the key and lock as it needs lubrication; we often felt the key was going to break in the lock.

A lovely building and setting, great for a family stay requiring 2 bedrooms.

Location was excellent, picturesque and quiet. Thoughtfully furnished with sensor operated lighting in hallway, a child/nursery play area full of toys and books) and office space if you really must work on holiday); next to a golf course, owls calling to each other.

Lack of instructions to operate oven, no oven gloves, freezer door scrapes the floor, no option/instructions for heating except a towel heater (although the weather was warm enough that it didn’t really matter in September).

Exceptional

The decor was tastfully done. The beds were very comfortable, as was the rest of the apartment. The area in which the chateaux is located is very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. On hot days, the chateaux was a lovely place to return to, to cool down. The apartment has beautiful lighting that can be availed of, making the apartment a very chilled out relaxing place to spend an evening.

There was very little not to like about this apartment. The seating provided in the outdoor patio was quite uncomfortable. The freezer door was very stiff and hard to open. There was a welcome pack provided, but all of it was in french. We would not hold any of these things against the quality of the experience. It was a marvellous place to stay and relax in.

Kold, mørk og fugtig kælder !!

Dejlig beliggenhed. Godt at køre ud fra. Indretningen var hyggelig

Det er en kælder. Der var meget mørkt, og ekstremt fugtigt. Da vi ankom var alle møbler inkl. senge og dyner fugtige. Der lugter af kælder og der var skimmelsvamp flere steder, samt svamp på væggen i køkkenet. Der er ingen vinduer der kan åbnes på værelserne og vinduerne er så små at de ikke vil kunne bruges som flugtvej. Der var masser af spindelvæv rundt omkring. Meget kælderkoldt. Man kunne ikke gå i strømpefødder uden at fryse og vi var nødt til at have flere lag tøj på for at holde varmen indendørs, selv om der var 30 grader udenfor. Alt i alt en kedelig oplevelse !

Très décevant

Le cadre verdoyant et le calme. Logement moderne, décoré avec goût et bien équipé.

Absence de concierge Welkeys à l'arrivée comme prévu dans l'annonce. Une baie vitrée et son volet bordeaux à l'entrée sales, à la fermeture minimaliste et peu sécurisée. Un extérieur à désherber, une terrasse sans éclairage fonctionnel avec un balai cassé abandonné dans un coin. Très grande saleté de chaque pièce avec notamment des poils d'animaux partout, des vitres rarement nettoyées et certaines fenêtres défectueuses notamment dans la plus grande chambre. Une salle de bain sombre avec une ventilation non efficace. Le matériel d'entretien présent dans le logement est non opérationnel car aspirateur plein et bouché et le balai serpillère à nettoyer également. Hébergement qui ne convient et ne correspond pas au standing annoncé ni au prix conséquent du séjour.

Sehr angenehm und ruhig.

Die Lage der Wohnung auf dem Golfplatz ist sehr malerisch und ruhig. Die Ausstattung war gut und völlig ausreichend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

In der Küche gab es keine Weinglas und das in Frankreich...........

Bijzonder teleurstellend voor deze prijs, donker appartement waar de hele dag het licht aan moet.

De ligging van het kasteel

Het appartement zelf! Weliswaar leuk ingericht, ligt het in het sousterrain! Je komt binnen in een koud, donker en klam hol. Na boekjng wordt een absurd hoge borg uit de hoge hoed getoverd.

Week-end en bord de mer.

Très bel appartement, très bien équipé. La baignoire balnéo est très agréable après une bonne journée de visite. Le site est très jolie avec le château et le parcours de golf autour. Très proche de Houlgate et Cabourg, idéal pour un week-end en bord de mer. Je recommande cette location.

On a eu la mauvaise surprise de découvrir des infiltrations d’eau sous le parquet…, des qu’on marchait de l’eau sortait du parquet dans toute la cuisine et le couloir. Caution de plus de 1000 euros avec 15 euros de frais.
