Stayed 8 nights in March 2026. Great location just inside the walls of Avignon, in easy reach of the main attractions and the railway station for travel further afield. It’s also very close to the tourist office, where guided day tours tend to leave from. The owner, Frederick, who had good English, was very helpful and gave some good recommendations on places to visit and where to eat out. Breakfast was an optional extra - nothing elaborate but it was absolutely fine and suited us as it was convenient and meant we had more time for sightseeing. The room itself was simple but clean and quiet, so good for our needs.
Our room could have been a bit better lit, but that was a fairly minor issue. Would have been nice to have a kettle/fridge, but I don’t know if that’s unusual for France. There’s no elevator so some people might have an issue with carrying bags up the stairs but it wasn’t a problem for us.

Friendly proprietor who speaks English well and keeps an eye on the comings and goings in the hotel and is ready to provide advice to his guests. It's in an excellent location for all the sights with many restaurants in walking distance.
A breakfast is available at 12Euro. It was sufficiently varied and the coffee was strong and plentiful. It's nice to have this option for a first morning but overall there are more interesting options in the neighborhood.
While the small single room was clean, and the bedding of good quality, the furniture is at the level of a rummage sale. The wall attachment of the shower was totally broken, forcing you to hold the shower head while trying to juggle soap and shampoo with one hand. When I pointed this out to the proprietor he indicated that he washes his hair like that without problem, but then he had less hair than the average female.

The amenities are not there. 3 stars hotel have much more than 2 small bags of combined shampoo and body wash. Towels are off white. It is 1 star hotel worth
