Great house with the best location on the river.

Nice property and the river was relaxing. Definitely going back in the future.

Great riverfront cabin!! A great alternative to mountain cabins. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 rating was that the drive back to the cabin is quite long & very narrow if you’re trailering motorcycles. Other than that, it was perfect!

Over all we enjoyed it. Make sure to bring your day to day things. Nothing is stocked. We love the stream, great for the kids! I didn’t think it was very clean.. it wasn’t crazy dirty but definitely not clean. The doors do not lock from the inside. My little one would constantly open the doors bc it doesn’t lock. It make me nervous with the stream being so close. It does lock from the outside!

We had a good stay in this cabin. We chose this specifically for the location on the river and location to the national park. We liked how close it was to everything and our young boys loved fishing and splashing in the river. There is car traffic that you hear from across the road (which we knew from previous reviews bit it didn’t keep us up at night). We never got the QR code for the promised discounted tickets via the rental company despite a few phone calls. Otherwise the cabin is comfortable but bare bones- bring your own deck of cards, games, wood, coals, etc.

Location great for getting back & forth to mountains

It was our first visit in over 10 years to Townsend. We wanted a river view, and this cabin did not disappoint. The sound of the water was even loud within the cabin. The screen doors are a great to allow the soothing sound inside and also the cool mountain air. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well with pots/pans, utensils etc... Located at the very end of the narrow road, we had no issue with other cars or people passing by. There are only 2 homes next door to this cabin. There is quite a bit of highway noise across the river and people walking there from time to time. If you desire a quieter mountain retreat, this is not the cabin for you. The firepit/grill surrounded by chairs made for the perfect evening with friends. Don't forget to bring your own wood/charcoal. We will definitely consider this cabin for future rentals.
