Good view, pictures are misleading, place to sleep, not worth the $2000 I paid to stay for 4 nights

The location and views

Everything else. I could write a book about how poorly this property is managed and maintained. Dead bugs EVERYWHERE, diarrhea splatters on toilets (i know disgusting) no toiletries supplied: no toilet paper, no dish soap or sponges, no trash bags, no paper towels. Wood chips left ALL OVER porches, as if some kind of animal had scratched away the deck. Railing on deck with over 20 feet drop into mountain was unstable, probably a safety violation. It does technically SLEEP 12 people, but with two bathrooms and 2 actual bedrooms in reality it sleeps 8 people comfortably. One mattress is thrown at the stop of stairs right outside master bedroom door and it counts as a “bed” to the property staff. Only plus side was the staff at the welcome center was very kind.

The amenities and decor of the cabin are very nice. Plenty of room for our family of six. The view is also really top notch and we enjoyed the deck and the lower level hot tub. Well appointed kitchen.

I was notified early in the day that the cabin was all clean & ready for our arrival (I had responded that we would be checking in at 4:00) however, when the first of us arrived a little after 5:00 the cleaning people were still in the cabin cleaning. Not really sure where the miscommunication occurred but it was a bit disconcerting and confusing initially- “is this even the right cabin?” My daughter phoned the management company and the person she spoke to was very nice and apologetic. The cleaning team finished up quickly but I have a feeling they rushed through the job, as there were still A LOT of dead ladybugs and some live ones particularly in the upstairs bedroom and bath. I realize this is just the nature of being in the mountains in a cabin - we aren’t really squeamish about insects but if you are, it’s something to be aware of. The washer and dryer are a nice thing to have access to, although the dryer took several cycles per load to dry fairly small amounts of clothes. Not a huge issue just something to note.

Too small living room and dining area. Loft shower had black mold on back of door and on top of shower. Bed upstairs was like sleeping on a concrete floor.
