This unit was decorated nicely with a beachy, comfortable theme. We really liked the beds, very comfortable and sheets were nice. The location was okay, but a bit far if visiting San Diego area (only because traffic is bad). The pool & hot tub area looked great, but unfortuneatly we didn't have a chance to try it out, even though it was only a block away. Upon arriving, the rusty security gate at the front and side door, were disappointing, as was the dingy mat outside. I'm a clean freak, so maybe it's just me. All rooms were very comfortable, but spare bedroom needs an overhead fan as it got warm and the window faces the front of the house & neighbors. The standing fan that was in that room was old and wobbly. Nice having a washer/dryer, though they are old. Kitchen was outfitted, but think it needs a deep clean. Even though the garage wasn't available to park, there was plenty of parking in front of the unit. Area was safe and quiet. It's very close to the beach too, sadly, not enough time to really explore the area. Dining options outside were a bit limited, though we liked the Windmill Food Hall (?) that had good options and was close by.

The house was very clean and the neighborhood was great. We enjoyed walking our dog in the neighborhood. It is very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms a bit dated. Shower heads are low and pressure was off which worked for the kids but uncomfortable as an adult.
There is no A/C which was fine due to great weather. All amenities were provided and it was great having a washer and dryer.
We had a couple maintenance issues (locked the garage opener in garage and fire alarm kept going off) but Vacasa was quick to respond and connect us with Andrew who was local and he was great. We would stay again for sure.

Overall, the place was clean and beds were comfortable. There were just a few things that were missing or not working. There’s no instruction on how to operate anything in the house. The fire pit was not working. We didn’t have sponge in the kitchen to wash dishes with. The dishes were clean but a bit worn.
The bathrooms were also clean but a bit outdated. There was not enough shampoo conditioner and soap for the 4 of us for the stay. We also end up buying our own toilet paper and kitchen towel because they were very low quality. Maybe my expectations are too high? I’ve definitely stayed in better vacation rental with lower price in this area…
