Our Story
We are Courtney and Ian. Courtney, a Colorado native and Ian, originally from Mexico and most recently from Colorado have been visiting Panama for years. During COVID, the opportunity to make the move permanent finally made sense. We are here full-time and if you need anything during your stay we would love to help.
Getting to Know Casa Catch and Relax
As the name suggests, this home is all about catching waves, fish, fun and sun….and most of all, relaxing! We’ve tried to think of it all and hope you find our paradise as fulfilling as we do. As with many of the homes in Panama our home has been crafted with Panamanian architecture and techniques, including a colonial style and locally crafted wood windows, doors and clay roof. BTW, if you love the art you see in the home, it’s for sale and proceeds go directly to the local artists in the area.
Getting to know the Azuero Peninsula
Besides the award-winning surf beaches, we moved to Pedasi for the small town feel with great amenities. Pedasi is one of those places where everyone says hi and time is just merely a suggestion. Whether it’s shopping, eating or exploring, the Azuero Peninsula has something for everyone. Check out the Guide Book for more suggestions.
Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Outfitted with room to sleep 6 and a fenced yard for your dog, Casa Catch and Relax has it all!

This property is a beautiful home in a great location. It`s close enough to Pedasi to be super convenient, yet in a quieter part of town close to the beach. The home is very well maintained, has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool is the icing on the cake! The hosts are very helpful, friendly and responsive. You can't ask for a better base to explore the area from. We would love to stay there again.

After traveling around a large portion of Panama we found the exact right place in Pedasi. This villa has tons of space for a two bedroom house, and the pool was the perfect size to cool off when you aren't at one of the many nearby beautiful beaches. A one minute drive gets you to Arenal Beach or downtown Pedasi.
Pedasi is the perfect Panamanian town, small enough where you feel the relaxed pace of life and safety, yet big enough to give you a good variety of places to eat. You can hit beautiful playa Venao down the road 30 minutes to experience the vibrant young surfing community. I really recommend eating at Restaurant El Chichemito in town where you can get a half chicken dinner for $5.50 and a beer for $2. Smiley's has live music on Friday nights and the steak special was $6.50 and it was yummy and tender! All in all I would love to call Pedasi home when I retire, this villa was my gateway to this wonderful place. Ian and Courtney were marvelous hosts, answering my thousands of questions and even helped me find the best place to get my covid test when I had to get back to the States, they are Rockstars!!! I can't recommend this place enough!!
