We stayed 9 nights in this beachfront home in Cambutal and our experience was amazing. The house is located in a quiet area near the end of the road among towering trees, iguanas, and birds. Monkeys can be heard from the deck in the mornings. It is no more than a 30 second walk to the beach. The endless beach is mostly protected by a large reef and therefore the swimming is excellent. The house is equipped with all the basics needed for a comfortable stay. The tap water is drinkable and tasty (uncommon in other parts of Central Amercia). The epic sunsets during dinner required many (similar) pictures. Aaron and Brittany are excellent hosts and a wonderful couple. We cannot wait to return with our family.

Just a short walk through the tropical landscaping puts you onto the seemingly never ending black sand beach. The water just in front of Luna Negra is protected by a rock outcropping. The sandy bottom in this area is perfect for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, and fishing. (I even caught a large Pompano on our last night there which provided us a feast for our final dinner.) Our hosts were available to answer any questions and help us acquire whatever we needed, including fresh fruit and veggies from the veggie trucks and fresh seafood. I look forward to when I can get back to this paradise for another stay.
