About this apartment rental
A historic atmosphere at the "Alte Wassermühle": A modern, cozy vacation rental with a wood-burning stove and sauna, perfect for two people, right on the mill pond.
The Location
The vacation rental is located on the first floor of the “Alte Wassermühle” in Bredstedt, right on the beautiful mill pond. A bakery, grocery store, and restaurants are just a 2-minute drive away, and the town center with its lovely market square is a 10-minute walk away. The North Sea is about a 10-minute drive away: Lüttmoorsiel—usually quiet but picturesque in fall and winter—is one of them, just a 10-minute drive away (though it’s also easily accessible by bike). In addition, there’s also the Dockkoog, located outside of Husum, 25 km away, or the Hamburger Hallig, a spit of land jutting out into the sea north of Lüttmoorsiel. There are a few very special attractions here. To get there, you travel along a 5-kilometer-long causeway, where many sheep love to roam—they’ve long since grown accustomed to car horns. The causeway is also accessible by bike. On the Hamburger Hallig, you can take a breather in an old Frisian farmhouse with a thatched roof, enjoying drinks and dishes typical of the region (Tote Tante, Pharisäer, Krabbenbrot) before heading out for a swim. It’s just under a 30-minute drive to the Danish border. In Bredstedt and the surrounding area, there are a number of places worth seeing that you should definitely visit during a stay in the far north.

The stylishly and modernly furnished vacation apartment is 54 square meters in size and offers a spacious living room with a flat-screen TV (satellite). The kitchen, which includes a dining table, is equipped with a stove (ceramic cooktop), oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The apartment features a beautiful bedroom (180 x 200) and a bathroom with a shower.
In the basement, you can relax in the communal sauna after an eventful day.
You can securely store any bicycles you bring with you in a basement storage room.
Next to the mill is the mill garden with a terrace area, which you’re welcome to use. Garden furniture and a grill are at your disposal.
Special Features
A small, knee-high dog is warmly welcome here! The natural garden with the babbling mill stream is an oasis for your relaxation. The sauna (for a fee of 8 euros) rounds out the experience. There is a washing machine in the basement for shared use. We are happy to provide you with free Wi-Fi. You can park your car right in front of the accommodation on the street (30 km/h zone). This accommodations are also easily accessible for guests arriving by train.
An initial set of bed linens and towels is required for this accommodation and is already included in the final price. Additional linen packages can be booked as optional extras.

Sehr schön gelegene Wohnung mit toller Lage direkt am Mühlenteich. Trotz direkter Nähe zum Stadtzentrum sehr ruhig gelegen.
Habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt und sehr gut erholt.

Für zwei Personen eine super geräumige und gemütliche Ferienwohnung! Das Haus in der Lage am Mühlenteich und Mauerüberresten vom früheren Mühlbetrieb im Garten ist ein echtes Schmuckstück.

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft. Das historische Gebäude besticht durch seine Lage, direkt am Mühlenteich. Der Garten ist schön gestaltet und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Gartenmöbel könnten an einer zentralen Stelle gut erreichbar deponiert sein.
Hoffentlich wird der Garten gut gepflegt. Es war erkennbar, dass die Sträucher seit Längerem nicht beschnitten worden waren.
Die Wohnung ist nett gestaltet und eingerichtet. Fliegen/Mückengitter könnten vor allen Fenstern angebracht sein. Im Badezimmer wäre eine Sonnenjalousie sinnvoll.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.
