About this apartment rental
Elegant mountainside condo inside the development of Coco bay estates with expansive ocean views from every room. Split plan layout is perfect for two couples or families travelling together.
The two spacious master suites are at each end of this elegant condo, separated by the open plan gourmet kitchen, dining and living room. The two ensuite master bathrooms are enormous with luxurious designer finishes, big separate showers, (one bathroom has an oversized whirlpool tub), double sinks. Master Bedroom 1 has one queen bed, master 2 is furnished with twin beds which can be joined together with a Simmons King mattress topper (and King bedding) to create one King (you choose). The dream kitchen has all your wish list features, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, etc This beautifully furnished condo also has a full width balcony for lounging, enjoying the spectacular ocean views. Just steps away from your luxurious condo is a brand new multi-level pool with commanding views of the surrounding valleys and countryside. The property is equipped with 24-hour security and guarded overnight parking. Club House membership included with minimum 14 night stay (pickleball, tennis, gym, showers, restaurant).
It is conveniently located near Ocotal Beach and Playa Del Coco where you will enjoy clear seas and sand beaches, sailing, boating and snorkeling, boutiques, and many restaurants and bars serving local and international fare. Hiking, bird watching, sailing, deep sea fishing , boating and snorkeling adventures are all nearby. Enjoy a vacation you'll never forget.
It has come to our attention that the "Google Cloud" (inplemented by VRBO) has placed us as an 11 minute walk to the beach, which is incorrect!!! It is more like a 30 minute walk. This condo is placed high on a hillside overlooking the Gulf de Papagayo. A car rental is a must.

We had a great time exploring Costa Rica and enjoyed the peaceful accommodations of Coco Bay.

As the photographs indicate, this condo is spacious and has a large balcony and two huge bathrooms. It is perfect for a couple with two children.
Pros:
- the condo was very clean and comfortable
- Corby was a very friendly and helpful host; she met us personally, took us up to the condo, and provided lots of information and good recommendations and was responsive when we needed to get in touch
- the condo includes access to a gym (pictured in listing) which was adequate albeit a bit worn, and a pool (also pictured) which was beautiful and included a little water slide
- free access to a private beach club a quick drive away just off Ocotal Beach; it's a great place to sit in the shade, store stuff (take a lock for lockers), or use the washroom/shower
- there is a washer/dryer right in the condo, which makes it easier to pack light and re-use clothes
Cons:
- pool and gym are 1 km from the condo, and it's very hilly and steep to get there, so popping over on foot for a workout or swim is not appealing in the Guanacaste heat; listing indicates a car is needed, but we didn't realize it would be needed for onsite amenities
- condo is nice and clean but showing wear/age and need for some replacements; for example, the washer died mid-cycle
- view from the balcony is not as pictured; there is now a building under construction on the sandy hill on the left side and an excavator; you can still see the ocean, but the photo does need updating
Overall, a very good experience.
