Pettirosso apartment in the Marche in La Maestade property

The owner and his wife are friendly people but this property is misrepresented. Photos were clearly taken a long time ago and the property lacks TLC. We arrived late evening, we were meant to stay one week however we left the next morning. Firstly there's a long rather treacherous dirt road to access the property which you would probably not be able to do in some cars or in bad conditions. The property is advertised as two bedrooms but it is only one bedroom with a sleeper sofa in the lounge. There were many broken/rickety pieces of furniture. Awfully uncomfortable sofa. The shower was broken, you could only use the hand shower. Bathroom light didn't work. Toilet flush falls off the wall when you flush. Toilet seat had various cracks in it. Several lampshades and bulbs are broken/hanging off to the side. The shower head was being held up by a chain and was so close to the wall you could barely get under it. The owner turns the hot water on only during certain hours, and even during those hours, I had a tepid shower, my partner had a cold shower. We had only one thin blanket on the bed, it was freezing during the night. The owner has around 8 cats which will enter the property if you don't keep the door closed. They sleep on the table and chairs outside where you're meant to eat and drink on your private patio. The garden/pool furniture is just old and run down and once again the cats sleep all over the communal garden table and chairs.

Nice and quiet place. Liked the pool area and the kitchen was allright for cooking even more complicated dinners. The only problem was the fact that you needed to go by car if you wanted to visit a cafe´, restaurant or grocery store. Nothing in walking distance.
