This room-with-a-view bedroom is 25 square meters in size, with a walk in closet of your dreams and two magnificent balcony bay windows. As like all of our apartments, it is a heritage building constructed in the year 1800, has 7 windows, 2 of which overlook Calle Zapateria and another two overlooking Calle Nueva. We have preserved its historic beauty and charm - hardwood floors and added fine antiques to give the decor the feel of an early 20th century abode. It has top of the line fixtures, beds, mattresses, sheets and towels.

The ability to check in and access the property via a smartphone was very convenient. The place was very clean and the decor made us feel right at home. Steph was very friendly and helpful.

We can’t review this property because we didn’t stay there. Three weeks before our our trip, the host emailed and told us there was a bureaucratic glitch,and she wouldn’t be able to let us stay there. We reserved a year ahead. She would be happy to refund our deposit. It was not possible for us to find a comparable location at that time -the week of the festival. After many conversations withVRBO, because she would not answer our calls, she then emailed that she could split our stay between two of her other properties. We would have to move out of one at 11am after two days and wait for the second one to be cleaned at 5pm. This required us to walk through a crowd of a million people with our suitcases. They would store our suitcases, but we had to walk around until they called us. We lost an entire day, and had to forfeit a trip to San Sebastián. I will say the first substitute property was very nice and a great location and we would have been very happy to stay there. The second property was OK, again a good location to see the bands and parades, but it was small and up three flights of stairs which was difficult for me. The best thing about the whole fiasco was the property manager Aloha. She tried very hard to ease our way, helped us wade through the crowd, gave us tips about the festival. It was frustrating to try to communicate with a host who refused to respond, especially as we picked her because she is a business owner and super host. No apology was offered.
