Beautiful villa with pool and park

My husband and I stayed here for three weeks this summer, during which four of our five children, two of our three grandchildren and my 83-year old mother came out to join us for several, often overlapping, days at a time - very easy for them to come and go either by car (ferry from uk) or flying to La Rochelle (then a quick passenger ferry ride to the island - much quicker than driving to the mainland to pick them up!) It was a wonderful family experience as the house has plenty of space both inside and out, and is perfectly situated close to town, beaches, port, supermarkets etc. The swimming pool is safe, clean and was the highlight for the small children, and on the island there are lots of safe cycle paths (perfect for small children to get to the beach), beautiful craft shops, lovely restaurants etc. In the house the kitchen is large and really well equipped, the bedrooms are comfortable and Mathieu left everything very clean for our arrival. The garden is great for kids to run around in, and our grandsons enjoyed feeding the next-door goat. Our two cocker spaniels also had a great holiday :) The photos of the house on the Vrbo website could do with some updating as the property has obviously been well used since they were taken, but it was fine for us. Mathieu was an excellent host, leaving us to get on with things but there if we needed anything. We’d happily go there again.

We stayed here for a two week family holiday. We were 8 adults and a baby and we all had plenty of space. The house is beautiful and has a lovely garden with a fenced pool, vegetable patch and great outdoor seating areas. The kitchen is very well equipped. Mathieu was very helpful and friendly through out our stay and I would highly recommend the house.
