About this apartment rental
This fully equipped studio is two blocks away from the very trendy rue de bretagne at the filles du calvaire metro station, line 8. it is located at the second level (third American) of a XIX century elegant building with no elevator and opens south with three large windows on a planted and large courtyard. consequently absolutely no street noise. It is 30 square meters or around 300 square feet.
The studio consists of a main room with a full size comfortable queen size bed ( 160 * 200 cm or 64 * 80 inches ), a bathroom with Italian shower and a basin, a fully equipped kitchen with a combined washer and drier and a separate toilet. there are plenty of closets, a table for two and a desk.
The apartment comes with free phone to 100 countries including North America and Australia, free WI-Fi, free cable TV.
The all-inclusive rental fee covers quality linens and towels.
The location is very convenient to tour Paris. It is a walking distance (less than five minutes) to Le Marais, Bastille square and Republique square. You can then access metro hubs easily ( Republique and Bastille ) and go just everywhere in paris directly without changing lines. And you are only 15 minutes walking to the very center of Paris, chatelet.
The area is residential with a large variety of cafes and restaurants. In the same block there is a large supermarket ( carrefour market).
Please be aware of the contractual 40 euro for any check in before 1200pm and after 900pm. If the apartment is not rented the night before the 40 euro applies in all cases. If the apartment is rented the night before we do not charge the early check in, we can check you in starting 1000am, keep your luggage but ask you to leave the apartment until the cleaning is finished i.e., around 1200pm.

The host, Olivier, was very helpful initially. We did have a few issues with the unit. The shower drain was very slow and backed up, the cookware was worn severely, the hot water was not the same in all areas: the shower was luke warm and the kitchen was scalding . We we're not aware that we needed to provide toilet tissue. However, the bed was comfortable and the unit was well situated. I must remember that this is Paris and not the USA as the standards are not the same. For the price and location, I must say it was worth it.

This lovely studio is in a fantastic location surrounded by shops, bistros, and fantastic open air markets. There is convenient access to the Metro but the true delight is how walkable the neighborhood is, as well as offering proximity to many Paris highlights. The view onto the courtyard is very charming and the studio has everything you need to get you started out in the morning and to welcome you home in the evening. I will definitely stay here again!

Apartment was nice with beautiful windows overlooking the courtyard. Good location, close to several metro stations.
Amenities were pretty basic.
Bad smell in the staircase.
Olivier seemed annoyed with us at check in (stated that we requested early check in even though I told him we would be there by 1200?). He wouldn’t wait for my husband who had just popped in to the store, which meant I had to carry all our luggage myself up the stairs. He was most unpleasant about it.
Otherwise Paris was wonderful!
