The Sunset Lodge is fully furnished with an extensive set of amenities to make your stay the most enjoyable. Rest assured that you're staying at one of the best rental cabins in the North Carolina Mountains. The Sunset Lodge has all the amenities you are accustomed to with the views you dream of in a mountain retreat.
Located in a gated area of the South Mountains, this home is available, with a two night minimum (3 night during all holidays and October) for your relaxation and enjoyment. In the beautiful mountains of Golden Valley, North Carolina, there is a place... a place to relax, a place to admire the scenic views, a place to unwind, a place to be on top of the world.
The Sunset Lodge, with 3 levels of mountain living is nothing short of a mountain paradise. A fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities you expect. A great room with 20 foot ceilings and a wood fireplace for your enjoyment. Large outside porches with Adirondack furniture and a cozy swing ... we could go on and on but the pictures speak for themselves ... See miles upon miles of mountains from the front porch. Play pool in the downstairs game room.
Think about the possibilities... there's room for 6 people to sleep comfortably. 3 full, luxurious bathrooms. 180 degrees of mountain views from the wrap-around deck. An indoor wood fireplace to sit and talk. This is truly a place to experience the magic of the mountains.
This lovely cabin is furnished with all the amenities you would expect in a luxury cabin rental, including leather living room furniture, and luxurious bedding for your every comfort.
A fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities you expect ... dishwasher, stove, fridge, microwave, all utensils and pots, pans, dishes, and paper products are furnished for you ... just bring your clothes and food!
House has a security camera on the deck pointed towards the driveway for everyone's protection.
We are very centrally located to some of the most beautiful scenery and nicest outdoor attractions in the Blue Ridge Mountains:
Asheville - Biltmore House, Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Chimney Rock state park, Lake James, Lake Lure, Little Switzerland, Morganton, Old Fort, Marion, Forest City, Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, and South Mountain state park are all within a 45 minute drive or less.
We are centrally located for some of the nicest North Carolina sights and locations.
The Biltmore House in Asheville is just a 45 minute scenic drive from here.
The closest towns to us for dining are Rutherfordton, Forest City, Marion and Morganton – all within 15 to 25 minutes from us.

What a great place! We spent Thanksgiving week there and cooked for the family and the accommodations were just perfect! I definitely understand why the ratings are so good!
