About this house rental
Cool, understated, and elegant, this 1959 Alexander is all about modern style and zen-like calm. Walls of glass open to the gorgeous saltwater pool and spa, spectacular mountain views, and tranquil landscaping. The desert retreat designed by a Hollywood film designer, his meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout.
A glamorous chef’s kitchen with huge sparkling quartz covered island and pull up stools is perfect for entertaining. The living/dining area features classic modern furniture and a deliciously cozy leather sectional. HD-TVs and DVD players are featured throughout.
Bedrooms feature fabulously cozy beds with luxury linens, ceiling fans, and outdoor sliders. Bathrooms offer softly coordinated mosaic tiles, with luscious towels. The master bath opens to the lovely and playful outdoor space.
Beds: King, Queen, Queen.
-Pets are allowed only if approved in advance of booking and pet fee is paid ($125.00 + tax per pet, 2 pets max, 2 small or one small and one up to 50 lbs).
- Early check-in or late check-out may be available with an extra fee. Please ask for a quote. Subject to availability.
- Pool Heating fee $100 per day, $700 per week. Weekly discount may be available April - September. Pool heating may not be available in extreme weather conditions. Pool heating fee may be adjusted in the unlikely event of extreme fluctuations in gas prices. When a fee is paid pools are heated to a max temp of 86 degrees (80-86 is normal)
- Actual utilities paid by guests for reservations 28 nights or longer. 21 nights May - October. A separate utility deposit per month will be collected. This deposit is based on the Market Price of Natural Gas and the Market Price of Electricity and will be collected post-booking. Meter reading photos are taken on the day of arrival and the day of departure. Any unused amount will be refunded at end of the stay. You are encouraged to take your own photos of the Gas and Electric meters on arrival and departure to keep track of usage. Please be aware that SoCal Edison and SoCal Gas have some of the highest utility rates in the country so we recommend that you keep close track of your usage to avoid surprises. Utilities are charged at the Market Price of Natural Gas per therm (gas) and the Market Price of Electricity per Kilowatt (electric) and are based on the average cost of Gas and Electric in the desert at the time of stay. We do not provide private owner utility bills.
- Security devices located on the exterior of the property, at entry.
- Recommended air conditioner temp is 74 in summer, be advised anything lower can freeze the system rendering it non-functional.
- Recommended to stock the refrigerator in stages as stocking too much at one time can cause food and drink to perish.

We had a wonderful week enjoying this beautiful property! We had everything we needed, the communication was excellent and we so enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood. Above all though, we loved spending time in the beautiful yard and pool. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the suave agave. This was the perfect place for our family of four to have a fun filled son soaked getaway. We have stayed in several rental properties in Palm Springs and the suave agave instantly became our favorite. The photos online simply don’t do it justice. If you are a mid-century modern aficionado, you will love this place. The home is well appointed and well stocked. And the Oasis Rentals staff is super responsive, accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend staying here.

First off, the highlight of this rental is definitely the beautiful pool. It was a fantastic spot to cool off and relax, and the shade in the backyard was perfect for lounging without getting too much sun. The outdoor shower was a great touch, especially after a swim.
The inside of the home was nice overall, and the space was quite comfortable. Each bedroom had a very comfortable bed. However, there were a few areas that could have used a bit more attention - cleanliness, non-working garbage disposal which caused a backup of water with each use, and lights that flickered when turned on. Another challenge we faced was the extreme heat in Palm Springs during our stay. Unfortunately, the fan in the primary bedroom wasn’t working, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable given the high temperatures.
Overall, the home has a lot of great features, especially for those who enjoy a beautiful pool and outdoor space. With a bit of attention to cleanliness and maintenance, it could be a fantastic spot for a summer getaway.
