In a private walnut grove, the Villa d'ESTEVE is a new architectural creation, of dazzling modernity, nestled on the heights overlooking the Pech d'ESTEVE valley. 800 meters from the mythical beaches of the Dordogne, this idyllic site is a true haven of peace filled with sun, where there reigns absolute silence. His point of view, steeped in history, is simply majestic.
The villa is organized around a large room, favoring space and beautiful volumes. The oversized bay windows offer a panoramic view of the countryside and the 14-meter long swimming pool, bordered by the spacious terrace. Thus, by its large dimensions, this high and bright living room invites its guests to relax in conviviality, volume and comfort.
The five bedrooms, which can accommodate up to 11 beds, are tastefully arranged in a style specific to each of them. Two of these suites have their own private shower room. The large, cozy main suite takes advantage of the villa's very large volume, and offers its occupants direct private access to the swimming pool.
Coming back from the beaches of the Dordogne, or a stroll at the castle, enjoy the last rays of sun; by swimming in this large heated aquatic area, or by relaxing in the bubble bath while admiring the peaceful view. Time will stop there for a moment. Others will relax lying on the indoor beach by the pool, while the last guests will enjoy the freshness of the outdoor lounge under the pergola.
Many classified tourist sites are located nearby. You can discover among others, the pebble beaches of the Dordogne at 800 meters, the castle of FENELON at 2 kms, Domme at 15 kms, Sarlat at 20 kms, the Château de Castelnaud at 25 kms, Rocamadour at 40 kms, Caves of Lascaux at 40 kms, the Gouffre de Padirac at 49 kms or BRIVE la gaillarde at 55 kms.

SECURITY DEPOSIT/CAUTION: A €1,200 bank pre-authorization is required prior to arrival, in accordance with premium villa standards. No charge will be made unless damage is identified. A secure payment link will be sent to you 15 days before your arrival.

Late departures may be accepted if no booking is scheduled on the same day, subject to availability.

INFORMATION FOR OUR SWIMMERS:
Heated whirlpool/spa pool at 34°C: available all year round.
Swimming pool opening period (not heated): from April 1st to May 31st. If weather conditions are exceptionally favorable, the pool may be heated.
Swimming pool heating period: from June 1st to September 30th.
(Water temperature may vary depending on weather conditions.)
Please note that the pool heating system activates automatically only when the outdoor air temperature remains above 18°C for more than 8 consecutive hours.
The swimming pool is heated through the overflow system from the hot whirlpool bath.
A new black and white liner was installed in 2025. Thanks to improved solar heat absorption, it can increase the water temperature by approximately +2°C to +5°C compared to a traditional white liner.
A Dolce Gusto coffee machine is also available :)

Travelling from the UK we stayed at this property for a week early May 2019. The property is very modern, spacious and well equipped. It is set in tranquil surroundings with beautiful outlook over the forests in this region of France and is not overlooked by any other nearby properties. Sadly for us the weather during our stay was somewhat cooler than the expected seasonal average temperatures of 25 degrees, with a range for us from 4 degrees - 22 degrees. This impacted on our ability to use the fantastic pool, which is not heated at this time of year, as it was too cold. As was the 'bubble bath' which should not be confused with a 'hot tub' and is only heated to around 33 degrees, so lower than body temperature and therefore feels cold.
Nearby towns include Sarlat-la-Caneda, which is a beautiful medieval 15 century town with many wonderful boutique style shops and restaurants, well worth a visit and only about 6 miles away.
If travelling from the UK be aware that the location of this villa is 500 miles from the Channel Tunnel and is a 10 hour journey by car, including a few stops, that said the motorways (toll roads) are fantastic, good road surface, not over crowded (apart from the short stretch through Paris) and allow travel at 130kph (81mph).
The customer service from the owner has been excellent, with regular contact, including a check during our stay that everything was to our liking.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

Great location for a peaceful getaway from the normal strains of life, great views and friendly locals made this a great break for us... even though the weather wasnt as kind to us as we wanted we still managed to get a solid 5-6 hours each day of great weather to enjoy the pool and hot tub.
