About this house rental
Come stay a while! Steps away from our zero-entry pool and clubhouse! Partial ocean views! It does not get any better! You enter this beautiful 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom Cottage through the kitchen, fully equipped with stainless steel Whirlpool appliances with a water filter, both a standard and a Keurig coffee maker, and all other luxuries of home! A gracious bar top, with seating for four, and an oversized dining table, with seating for 8, can be found on the way to the living area. Off of the living area is another living space! The first-floor screened-in porch houses the perfect lounging furniture, while the patio includes a table, with seating for 8 and a gas grill. Off the porch, you will find the Master Bedroom with a private ensuite bath. Finishing off the first floor, you will find a stackable washer & dryer and a half bath at the foot of the stairs. The second floor is home to two guest bedrooms: One room with a queen-sized bed and the other with double bunk beds, both with their own private ensuite bath and access to the upper porch. The second floor has a TV room perfect for the kids, equipped with a comfy couch, DVD player, hook-up for a gaming console, and a selection of board games. This Cottage includes a one-car garage, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella. In addition, guests have access to The Cottages at Jekyll Island's million-dollar amenities, which include Clubhouse, zero-entry pool and fitness, beach deck, beach access and a community fire pit.

Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a beach deck, dune area and seawall.
Access Points: There are three beach access points with the main access located near the pool and clubhouse, one access point in the mid-north area and another at the south end of the Cottages.
Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time. The sand area landside of the seawall is accessible at all times for recreaation.
Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.
Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, therefore we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

Pros: a great spacious condo in a nice and quiet community. Easy checkin and great location too. Kitchen had all the utensils for meal preps and cooking.Cons: The beach was pretty much unusable because of the high tide lasting almost all day (no blame on the cottage for this). The listing says "This Cottage includes a one-car garage, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella", but there was no beach umbrella or chairs. There was no shower gel either...just a small soap and a few tiny packs of shampoo and conditioner. The check-in email asked to reply to the email for any issues that don't require immediate attention but my email request to replenish the shower gel/shampoo went unanswered. Nobody ever reached out and inquired if everything was going ok...So overall, the host communication is a missed opportunity.

Property was great. Service was lacking. Back screen door was broken and it locked us out of the property every time we went to the pool. We notified the manager and it wasn’t fixed the full 10 days we were there. They charged a substantial cleaning fee, but we had to ask for a broom and swept up so much black fur from a ‘no pets’ property it was ridiculous. We preferred a no pets property because my son has allergies, but maybe had they actually cleaned the place before we got there, he wouldn’t have been congested the whole time we were there. Master bath sink was plugged and never fixed. Previous guests left stains on
the couch in the upstairs den and even after a professional cleaning, it didn’t look usable.
