Our family loved this ocean themed retreat. We will definitely keep this location on our list of places we would stay at again. We also enjoyed the quality bikes and equipment provided by VayK. Overall, this home is in great condition. Unfortunately, the local cable company does not seem to provide a true HD feed so the TV resolution was subpar. The appliances and kitchen accessories were typical of our other Jekyll Island rentals, meaning they are adequate but showing age or basic. Also, some of the TV remotes needed new batteries and did not work.

The checkin process was seamless, super easy. House was clean, bright and welcoming. The property has the feeling of a family home and we were very comfortable. Love the upstairs living area and the kitchen provided everything we needed for an amazing fresh shrimp dinner.

We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Retreat. The home was lovely with plenty of room for a large family. They have everything you need to cook with and plenty of beds and space to spread out. Lots of games to play on rainy days is a plus and if you are a book lover this is your place. It is beautifully decorated for the beach. The only negative was the beach access is misleading. You do have a little trail to the ocean but then you have to walk about 150+ yards in the sand to get to the beach itself. With a 7 month pregnant mama, a son with a prosthetic and a 18 month old plus the other smaller kids carrying everything to and from the beach was a chore itself. That was a big decision that led us to getting this house was we were close to the beach with direct access. But we managed and the house itself was wonderful.
