We loved the peaceful atmosphere, the stunning surroundings, and the cozy feeling of the cabin which was perfect to our family. The rooms were comfortable, the view from the living room was amazing, and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was very nice.

Just to take into consideration if coming with heavy suitcases- there are steep stairs that you need to go through.

Very cozy house, it is quite and peaceful. Very nice views. The host is a great guy.

One of the beds was quite short, only about 180 cm long.

Wifi did not work at all.

The cabin is beautifully designed with all required amenities including a verandah sitout, a well equipped kitchen and TV (we were able to connect the laptop using a HDMI cable that we had carried). The view from the cabin is great and if you just walk a few meters to the office, you get excellent views of the fjord. The host was kind enough to let us check in late around 10:30 pm and lend us some coffee. He also gave a quick history of the generational property that has been passed down over 4 centuries. If you're driving from the west/north (e.g., Alesund), you have to take a ferry to cross over to Eidsdal so it would be good to check the ferry timetable and plan your drive accordingly. The host can include this as part of the intructions.
