Westerås Gard

Great reataurant. Great trails directly off the property.

Not enough heating in the cabin. Had to keep all doors open to allow heat spread. We had the rustic cabin which might explain why.

The location was stunning with mountains all around. We got Cabin #4 that had two bedrooms and a terrace. The cabin was fully equipped to cook. Owners and staff were friendly and clearly loved the place. On our second day, it rained so we stayed in all afternoon and got some much needed rest. The food served in the 1603 barn turned dining room was outstanding. There are numerous hiking trails that start at the property, which we did not take advantage of since we were there only a short time. The cabin is near the road to the glacier park. Don’t miss that! Could not have been a better stay.

I wish we remembered that breakfast was not included so that we could have purchased groceries in town. You can purchase a breakfast delivered the night before at a cost. Sheet and towel rental is also extra, but we knew that before we arrived.

Beautiful location and very convenient for many hikes. Lovely restaurant and very friendly people

The accommodation is basic and it there is an extra charge for bed linen and pets which was not very clear on the booking

Great views and location

A bit too basic and for the price paid I don’t thing I should be expected to pay extra for linens and towels. Pillows and towels badly need replacing. Bathroom is a disaster. Shower over top of the toilet and sink.
