Good location but poor shower and poor kitchen corner.

The room had a kitchen corner that was quite dirty. We had to clean the fridge and the microwave ourselves before using them, as they were very dirty and gave off a bad smell. The bathroom/toilet had no bidet and no ventilation system. The showerhead holder was broken and had been repaired with black tape. The drain was almost clogged, causing water to spread across the entire shower area. However, the room was spacious, and the mattresses were relatively clean.

2 nights in a functional room

The staff was very kind helping me with my bike bags and getting the „right“ room, away from the busy street. I was allowed to keep my e-bike in the reception area, to even lock it to the iron fence. The telephon service was very effective and fast.

The foto above did not even come close to the room I finally choose as per my requirement when the booking was made. When talking to others I call the room a „cell“, rather small.

Location is okay. Price is not so bad for an otherwise expensive place like Hamburg. Quite easily accessible from the train.

All other reviews are true. The heating doesn't work, rooms are tiny, there was no hair dryer in the room unlike mentioned.

the woman in the lobby stayed late so I could check in for the night. I arrived 30min after closing.

we had wasps in the ventilation system and they entered the room. we asked for another room right away, but the lady at the reception said she would not give us another room and did not believe, that the wasps entered through the ventilation although it was very obvious - three entered in the first twenty minutes we were there and there were five dead ones in the room already. we only got another room after complaining to the cleaning lady the other day. she was very understanding. the reception lady on the other hand remained super rude and unhelpful.

Basic by a main road, with good train connection to Hamburg

An OK option in the suburbs of Hamburg, a few hundred meters from the Bergerdorf station with hourly direct train connections to Hamburg central station. Basic room, yet confortable enough. If staying there, a walk to the Bergerdorf castle and surrounding park and city centre is enjoyable.

The location by a large and transited road and a gas station isn't the most charming, and means traffic noise during the day and evening. No coffee or tea available in the morning, although the place has a bar open in the evenings. Providing some hot drinks would significantly improve the experience, either with a kettle in the room or a vending machine as the place isn't staffed in the morning.

Gutes Hotel für Stadtreisende, die das Zimmer nur zum Schlafen und Frischmachen nutzen

Das Hotel ist gut an den ÖPNV angebunden, so dass man vom Hamburger Hauptbahnhof ca. 30 Minuten an Anreisezeit einkalkulieren muss, dafür aber auch ein vergleichsweise günstiges Hotelzimmer vorfindet. Ich habe ein gut beheiztes Zimmer vorgefunden, in dem der Schlaf- und Wohnbereich einen schlicht-modernen Eindruck gemacht hat. Zudem war das Zimmer sauber, im Gegensatz zu manchen Zimmern in Vier-Sterne-Häusern. Falls man etwas vergessen hat, bietet die benachbarte Tankstelle die Möglichkeit, sich nachzuverpflegen. Der telefonische Service stand des Hotels stand schnell bereit, um mir den Code für den Schlüsselsafe zu übermitteln, als der Empfang unbesetzt war.

Bei allem was mir an dem Hotel nicht gefallen hat, muss man sich immer die Erwartungshaltung in Gedächtnis rufen, mit der man das Zimmer dort gebucht hat. Für einen mittleren zweistelligen Betrag kann man keinen Top-Standard erwarten. Dennoch sollte man wissen, dass sich nicht alle Badezimmer des Hotels en Suite befinden. Diese sind darüber hinaus tatsächlich in die Jahre gekommen. Ich denke alleine durch das Neuverfugen der Fließenübergänge und dem Nachweißen der Wände ließe sich das Ganze aufwerten. Darüber hinaus hört man durchaus, wenn die Türen der Nachbarzimme raufgeschlossen werden oder jemand etwas lauter über den Flur geht. Für geräuschempflindliche Personen ist das Hotel also nicht zu empfehlen.
