SPACE CASTLE: a 1950s Gas Station transformed into an Art Themed Wonderland

There’s no place like space castle. It’s a literal work of art. We played theramin and sound bowls in the room of glowing Quetzalcoatl light. Sat in the hot tub under the stars. Had leisurely afternoons inside talking when it was too hot to go out and explore. Last night I slept in a pitch black time capsule room with tumbleweed above my head. The art is elegant, intentional and full of spiritual medicine in the best of ways and it’s all mixed in with high style Italian furniture! This is the kind of place to have a honeymoon but also a place you could bring yer Ma. Been coming to T or C for 30 years and this is far and beyond my favorite place to stay. Its location could not be better as well, near the best rock shop, and you can walk to all the baths

All the art installations were very interesting. Unique experience. Good location to walk into town for food and activities

The towels were thin and scratchy. The temperature was fine for us in April but would want to know as a traveler that you would need fans and heaters.

This location is amazingly filled with art, it's extremely spacious and walking distance to town 😀 It truly felt like a home away from home and the owners are so wonderful also. Checking in with Misty was very easy and she gives you a nice welcome tour to explain the layout because its a lot of light switches to find and a lot of Art. I used the grill in the backyard several times and the full kitchen, that was stocked with some of the supplies you could want. I slept in both beds and they are very comfortable I will definitely be returning because, there's so much art I did not explore including taking an hour or two in the meditation room... Hot springs are close but and Elephant Butte Lake is only a short drive away

Honestly we all find something not perfect wherever we go but I would suggest checking the pantry items for restocking more often, basic necessities like coffee, creamer, salt, pepper and garlic were very low or empty, but there's a store right next door so I purchased them from there. I wanted to use the hot tub outside but the water turned cold before it filled up, at both stays but that did not stop me from enjoying my time there.
