Old Dublin ‘Four sisters’

The property has been renovated nicely, keeping lots of historic charm. It is large enough for a big family to enjoy. The location was fine for us, being a 20 min walk to the river.

The backyard was dirty and could use a cleaning; over grown with brush and lots of cigarettes and some rubbish. I also think cleaning the exterior of the windows would go a long way!

2 kitchen situation was odd and felt like cooking involved both and carrying stuff up and down stairs

The house was very clean, looked exactly as shown in the pictures. The downstairs entertainment area was brilliant and looked great with the old stone walls. Great for a weekend away as a group of adults but would also be great with kids as well. It was in a great location and really easy to get to everywhere we were going. The house was modern and well set up. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Unfortunately shower heads were quite loose and would get water everywhere and the drains smelt really bad. They would just need a good flush out. There was a small outside space out the back of the house but it was so messy and just let the house down for how great the rest of it was. It would need cleared out of rubbish and the old bath removed, leveled and even some stones thrown down and it would make it look so much better and wouldn't cost alot to do.

Clean bedding and beds quite comfortable and hosts did their best

Came back first afternoon to find water all over the floor where the fridge freezer had a leak. Boiler failed so no hot water was rectified by the host but endured two days of workmen coming in and out. The top bathroom was mouldy and smelt awful highlighted in previous reviews also No pool cues and no darts until the last day of our visit this has been highlighted in other reviews from a year ago Washing machine broke so unable to wash clothes which for for a family of seven with limited hand luggage was a must Fly infestation in top bedroom The property offers courtyard views. I can only say that this was a hazardous dangerous area containing filths and rubbish, including cigarette ends. Again highlighted in review reviews from over a year ago. Flooring needs attention as do the stairs. I nearly fell down as rickety. Again highlighted in previous review reviews. The owner did their best to rectify these matters but it caused us a lot of stress and worry, especially as we were there for a World Cup dance competition They promised some compensation on further consultation both with Booking.com and the owners this has been refused and my message has gone unanswered
