Spectacular Mediterranean Villa on the Irish Sea

First, the views from Ravello are truly spectacular. Dalkey is a great village with excellent restaurants and the most delightful people imaginable, Dublin is a short train ride away and the caterered dinners were great. However, all was not great in paradise. The check in process was inadequate given the concierge was clearly anxious to go on vacation and there was no local back up assistance provided. The property, itself is in need of tender loving care. Beyond some paint and general outside clean up, more specifically we encountered the refrigerator ice maker did not work, 2 of 3 fire places were inoperable, a filthy outside grill, the master bathroom shower was inoperable, 2 patio lounge chairs were broken and (really should be thrown out) and 1of 2 clothes dryers was broken. We were also not notified that the alarm system was armed. We found out when it inexplicably went off. The alarm company notified Orla ,the concierge who was vacationing in Portugal, who contacted us with the code. Finally, make sure you bring shampoo, conditioner and bars of soap - none were provided.

This is a beautiful spacious home with everything we needed for a week-long family stay in celebration of my parents’ 60th anniversary. We were a group of 11 and had more than enough space. Kitchen is well-appointed and made meals several nights. Restaurants and cafés are a short 10-15 mins walk. The rail line is also a close walk and super user-friendly. Scenic walks along the water are nearby. Also a great location as home base for day trips to explore Wicklow County and Newgrange, Dublin etc. Orla was also a great asset and helped us with whatever we needed both before the trip and during the trip. Highly recommend this stunning home!!

Staying in this beautiful home with a spectacular view was the most relaxing and enjoyable way for our family to gather together. We so loved this house, it was hard to leave it long enough to see other areas on the east coast coast of Ireland. Fortunately, Dalkey was charming and an easy walk down the hill. When we did venture into Dublin, the train station was close by and easy to use. I highly recommend this home and location to anyone looking for a very special vacation.

The house in Dalkey is in a beautiful neighborhood, on a hill overlooking the ocean. It is an easy walk into town, about .6 miles (uphill on the way back, but certainly not a problem). The house itself is pretty and spacious, with a modern and well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of common area space, and a beautiful porch. There were, for us, some technical issues. The TVs did not work, the sauna did not work (as far as we could tell), the electricity burned out hair appliances, even with a converter, and the refrigerator door does not close properly. These things should all be addressed The DART train into Dublin is close by and we felt it was clean, reliable, and easy to use. Overall, we would recommend the house. The pros far outweigh the cons. .

The Seaview Villa lived up to all its hype! The location was wonderful as it provided peace and calmness after days of touring and the town of Dalkey was quaint with all the stores and restaurants that you would need. A short 15 walk from the Villa and you were in the center of Dalkey and the train station for a quick 30 minute train ride to Dublin. The only drawback was that the two main bedrooms on the first floor had a tub that was hard for our seniors to access for showering, but with three other showers in the villa we made do with little inconvenience. We would highly recommend the villa for a family vacation retreat. The views are incredible and in the summer the outdoor areas would be very enjoyable, even with the chilly weather we were able to enjoy cocktails on the terrace and see magnificent sunrises. Our host Orla was excellent and if there was a need she was only 10 minutes away..

We rented the house over our wedding weekend this August with some friends and family. The communication in the build up to and during our stay could not have been better. Orla (who manages the property) arranged a very straight forward check-in/ check out for us and was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had during our stay. The house itself is like something out of a film, with arguably one of the best views in Ireland overlooking Sorrento villas and the beautiful Killiney bay. All of our guests were in awe of the place. The house was totally spotless and equipped for everything you could possibly need. We had a small gathering at the house on the day after our wedding, which proved to be a total highlight for us and all of our guests. There are so many wonderful entertaining spaces (both inside and out) to enjoy! Orla was so helpful and even offered to arrange caterers for us for our second party. We highly recommend the house for anyone looking for a seaside retreat or trip away with friends and family in relaxed luxury.

We rented the house for 1 week to house our families, as we got married in Ireland. We had our family's come together under 1 roof for a whole week and it ended up being the most incredible week of our lives. The house was perfect to allow for our family to get to know each other, and the view is the best you could find anywhere. Overall, the check-in and out process was so easy and stress-free and our favorite things about the villa were the short walk to Dalkey, the incredibly comfortable beds, the dining room and of course the view of the majestic Irish sea. We enjoyed our stay here for a family reunion. Views are amazing. Spacious comfortable house and gardens. Great location walking distance to Dalkey village. Very helpful and professional property manager.

We loved staying at this property. We had plenty of room for 7 adults and 4 teens/kids to spread out. The views are sensational. 3 working gas fire places were so nice to have going in the evenings and mornings. We enjoyed grilling on the patio, dining outside and inside - the formal dining room fits 10 comfortably. The kitchen/dining room are well-equipped with stem ware, glasses, silver and even a wine decanter. The gardens are very beautiful and well-maintained. The town of Dalkey is post-card charming and just a leisurely stroll away. The town has butchers, bakeries, grocery, wine shops, pubs (Finnegans was a favorite) and many great restaurants. The train station is on the edge of town and also easy to walk to. Cabs are available as well. Very short train ride to Dublin city center. Orla, our host, was exceptional. She shopped for us ahead of time, arranged all of our transportation and organized day trips. She is first-class. We cannot recommend this property enough and hope we will be able to visit again soon.

We had a large number of people from many parts of the world with us for a family occasion. Thee house was excellent for our family party. The facilities, especially the kitchen, the layout and the stunning view really made the trip. The support we had from our host, Orla, before we arrived and while we were in the house was top class. Our only criticism is that the water pressure for showers etc could be improved

We enjoyed the Villa and the amazing Location and Views. We were a large group and the house is extremely accommodating. The town is quaint and the people are very friendly. We kept hearing how Bono lives close and has frequents the pubs there. The train station is close and easy to get to Dublin in just 30 minutes. The owner is very hospitable and helpful; along with the house manager. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there again in the future.

Good view

We had the most fabulous time at the Sea View Villa! The house was very well appointed - we had everything we needed including a table setting for 12 people. The views are indescribable- truly beautiful. Short 25 min or so train ride to Dublin was very easy. Loved the little town of Dalkey! I only wish we had more time to explore! Orla was amazing and took care of everything- including fresh flowers. Thanks for everything! Kristin

My family of thirteen stayed at the Dublin Seaview Villa for twelve days in June 2018. The view was stunning and the house was very spacious. Orla , the property manager, went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Our family had a great stay and made great memories during our visit to Ireland. The Dublin Seaview Villa is fantastic. If you have a large group and want to enjoy peaceful family time and have fun, this your place! There are so many fun things to do in Dalkey you could spend a week in this little town. The food is great! The people are friendly. If you aren't up for a walk up the hill (my in-laws are the late 70s) there is always a taxi waiting. I truly hope to return :)

We enjoyed the views which were spectacular! There was plenty of room to spread out in this amazing house and it's location was great. We enjoyed walking around Dalkey Village which was a quick walk down from the house and we were also able to hop on the DART into Dublin city which was a 10 minute walk from the house. Orla was such a great help as the concierge for the house. We also had a catered dinner for Thanksgiving at the house which was phenomenal! One of our favorite trips!

We had our dream wedding ceremony and cocktail reception here and received numerous compliments of the home. The Sea View Villa was large enough to accommodate our immediate family for the week. The location is isperfect for a quick stroll into downtown Dalkey (I loved this little village) and access to the Dart train for a ride to Howth, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin and more. Orla, the House Manager also served as my wedding coordinator and did an amazing job of prepping the home, stocking the fridge and providing baskets upon welcome and for our post-wedding brunch. She was accessible 24/7 and very accommodating. I am so happy we chose the Ravello residence for our wedding week and big day!

We stayed in this beautiful house in September 2015. When we decided to take another trip to Ireland, we knew exactly where we'd stay. The views are unbelievable and the house is so lovely. Dalkey Is a hidden gem too! The property agent, Orla, is wonderful to work with and helped us with many details regarding our stay... Transportation to/from Dublin Airport, a welcome "hamper" (food supplies waiting for us), and even found a chef to prepare a private dinner in the house to celebrate an engagement. There are NO negatives .... just a migical place!

We had a large group in town for a wedding and this was the perfect way to house everyone. So comfortable and elegant. You won't want to leave.

We would love to come back! We felt welcome. We had 11 people stay there and all had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The place was spacious and quiet enough that people playing pool did not disturb those sleeping.

This home was beautifully decorated beyond our imagination...including Christmas decorations for the holiday. It went beyond our expectations and Orla and Connor were the best!

We were a group of 14- needing accommodations for volunteer work nearby. We were traveling from the US and as Jehovah's Witnesses- we were looking for a place to eat, rest and enjoy after our ministry during the day. This property exceeded all of our expectations. We could not say enough about the beauty and cleanliness of this estate. It was luxurious yet cozy, immaculate, and the hostess was 100% accommodating and kind. By far at the top of Homeaway stays.

Beautiful house, ideal for our family gathering which involved 3 generations. Very homely and cosy. Breathtaking views. Well equipped with plenty extra bedding and air beds for small children. Even our teenagers loved it... that says it all! Didn't want to leave. Orla who met us on arrival was very welcoming and helpful. We asked for some outside catering for our party on the Saturday and Sam who was recommended to us by Orla prepared a delicious menu tailored to our requests. We would all love to return here. This has been our favourite holiday house so far and we have some fabulous memories of our time here. Don't think twice about booking this house. It's amazing.

The program at Dublin Sea View Villa attracted participants from 4 continents and in advance the venue raised curiosity and interest. It provided a unique and very special place for deep and precious work; and it was no surprise that the above comment captured the essence of the experience at Dublin Sea View Villa. The house catered for the 15 persons present each day from 08.00 until 19.00 hours; and every corner of the living space was utilized, including the games room. There were spaces for larger group sessions, then many places for one-to-one work and small breakout groups. The gardens and balconies provided mindful stillness and stimulating vistas for reflection and contemplation. With the support of external catering, the kitchen and supporting spaces supported the provision of nourishing food; easily presented and served whilst allowing the program to flow. Orla and Conor were available in advance and just a phone call away if any help or additional support needed. We did not have to disturb them as everything we needed was there already. The short walk to and from Dalkey proved delightful to the participants, most of whom stayed in the local area. There is also ample and secure car parking at the venue. This is a house that lends itself easily to a myriad of possibilities – for us we are already considering how we could use Dublin Sea View Villa again. If you are looking for a place for your Corporate Team’s training or team building – consider Dublin Sea View Villa – it is a place where you can really feel appreciated!

We had an wonderful stay at this beautiful house in Dalkey for a large family reunion. This great house has a stunning location with amazing views over the Irish sea. The house is well situated with a nice 8/10 minute walk into the picturesque village of Dalkey. Dalkey has some great shops as well as lovely places to eat and drink. We particularly liked Finnegans pub. The house is just as beautiful as it looks in the pictures and is extremely well equipped. As we were staying for Christmas the house was already decorated with two Christmas trees and mantle decorations, which was a beautiful additional touch. The house boasts beautiful reception rooms and plenty of places to relax whilst enjoying the stunning views and open fires. The bedroom are generously sized and well appointed. The pool table and drum kit downstairs came in very handy for the younger generation of revellers and the Sauna was a welcome treat after our Christmas swim at the Forty foot. The house comfortably sleeps 11 but on Christmas day we were able to cater for 20 with relative ease. We would happily go back to this property again, it was a great house and worked brilliantly for us and our family. Thanks you so much to Marlene and Orla who could not have been more helpful. Ravello immediately felt like our second home. The beautiful residence was where our entire family of 8 spent (American) Thanksgiving. We were able to walk into the town of Dalkey and to the beach. As one would expect, there were certain nuances to the home (appliances, etc..) that we needed some extra instruction with and the responsiveness and support were amazing. The property owner and local designate sincerely wanted us to have a wonderful experience - which we did...thanks to them. If renting a vehicle during your stay - I would recommend using the waze app during your stay as it precisely got us everywhere we needed to get to around the Island. I would also recommend not using Sixt as the company you rent your vehicle from.

The house in Dalkey was even better than the pictures! The view was incredible! We can't wait to go back and stay again. We were met with fresh flowers throughout the house. I would recommend this house to all my friends. It is located within a 10 minute walk to the Dart train so we didn't need to rent a car. The village of Dalkey had a grocery store and many pubs and restaurants. There was also a fresh butcher and vegetable/fruit stand. We had one of the best family vacations ever.

The house and views were beyond description. The property manager arranged fresh cut flowers in every room, and took the time to show us the house. We are hoping to get back to Ireland and will DEFINITELY rebook our stay to stay in this beautiful home in Dalkey. The town of Dalkey is wonderful too.... PERFECT Vacation experience! ❤️

This home is beautiful and can’t be beat as far as location is concerned. Marlene, Connor, and Orla are the best hosts we have ever dealt with. The home overlooks the Irish Sea and has spectacular views to the north and south. To the south you can clearly see the Wicklow Mountains and Bre head. To the north you can see the Howth Lighthouse. Dalkey Village is an extremely friendly village with many shops and great food. A short walk to Finnegan’s is a nice routine. The DART station is 6 minutes walk. The DART train to Dublin is pleasant and a very short ride. The property is beautifully landscaped and the home interior is spacious and inviting.
