Lovely stay

This was our 3rd stay at Sir David Boutique Guest House and we will stay nowhere else in Cape Town. The staff makes your stay here wonderful. Normally we book a seafront room but unfortunately the only room that was available was room 3 which has a lovely garden view but the room is smaller than the other rooms and the tv is also much smaller.

Nearly everything Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean Guest House. The ‘waiting on ‘ staff at breakfast were lovely, helpful & kind!

There was no Welcome Folder in the room . No emergency telephone numbers e.g. Doctors, Ambulance, Fire Service etc. No recommendations for Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Eateries etc. No information about the area, beaches , things to do etc. No information about the Guest House / who to call at night regarding an emergency!! I really think this is a ‘must’ for us foreign travellers !! Please re-think your policy regarding this, especially Emergency Telephone Numbers.

Great location and very clean

The breakfast was amazing - there was so much food to choose from. The rooms are compact but comfortable. Very clean establishment with very friendly staff. Great location overlooking the sea from some rooms. Offroad parking is a bonus.

Great location next to the Beach

Excellent location in Bloubergstrand next to the beach. Lovely room and bathroom. The guesthouse also has a lovely lounge area upstairs and downstairs where the restaurant are is. Very comfortable stay - thank you.

Could have been better.

We asked for a sea view unit a month in advance. We weee then told a day before that kids were not allowed in the sea view units. There was no fine print that mentioned this. We had other options at the time of booking and we feel they deliberately left it to the last minute to tell us no kids allowed in sea view units, yet we paid the same amount. Very disappointing because being notified a day before our booking we could not cancel without a penalty.

A stay that felt like home

We visited Cape Τown for Xmas and New Year and this was the exact perfect place we were looking for; a boutique establishment next to the sea with very friendly and accommodating host and staff that made us feel very welcomed, even during the time we organized our trip. Every corner in the shared facilities and the room is taken care of with great taste, peaceful and cozy with a positive vibe, and spotless clean! Our triplex room had direct access to the garden with the pool, that our seven year old son with his cousin loved and, ourselves relaxed on the sunbeds. The pool size is ideal for the young ones, still not for a traveler who is looking to enjoy it over the cold sea waters. Breakfast is of great variety for all tastes with warm dishes, and the staff taking good care of us. Overall, a stay that exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful guesthouse with excellent location!

Beautiful and comfortable rooms with balcony or patio. Beautiful seaview from lounge and breakfast room and some of the guest rooms. Nice and quiet location and with restaurants on easy walking distance. Good honesty bar. One of the best breakfasts in South Africa! Mabel who has been working at the guesthouse for many years is extremely service minded and helpful! Love her pancakes! Have stayed at Sir David many times and can highly recommend this guesthouse!

After reading excellent reviews about this guesthouse i was very disappointed.

The location is not bad, very short walk to the beach. Very nice view from the lounge.

My room was small with the 'view' of the garden and swimming pool only visible when standing up. No full length mirror.

I will be hoping to book at this B&B every time I am in Cape Town if they have openings.

It was close to my Offices in Atlantis so very central. The staff are very friendly and an asset to this B&B. Breakfast was also very good with options that you could choose from.
