Great Location

I stayed for 4 nights. Room was a nice size with en suite bathroom. Very comfortable mattress. Fridge, Tv, kettle, tea/coffee and rusks available. Plenty of light. Pool area is also pleasant. Parking only available on the road.

The room I stayed in (Room Deborah), leads off the lounge/dining/kitchen area so you can hear everyone coming in/out. Someone used the kitchen to cook at 2 in the morning which woke me up. Doors to the main area are not locked.

Fun and unique stay

It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Everything was as it looks on the pictures.

Just info for staying in one of the main house rooms, everyone has access to the shared kitchen and living room which is pretty close and to get to the back units they walk through the home. Doesn't ruin anything at all just a good to know for if you want more privacy

Good stay for a business trip.

The room was comfortable and the Breakfast was very nice.

The towels had holes and stains. Outside street parking (not secure).

Overall, the place is very cozy and has a lot of potential.

I liked the spacious shower and the comfortable bed. The service was good - hosts welcomed me and were very friendly during breakfast. The location was perfect. And the easy access in and out of the property made it feel homely.

I did not like that the cleanliness was not up the par. The sheets were not very clean, as well as the towels; which also had holes in them. On the first day, I had to have a cold shower and called later that evening as the water was still not hot - this was resolved the next day. Cleaning was included in the price; however, I think some more attention could be given in this regard.

Had to pay extra for cleaning and the room was dirty. Not cleaned after laying a complaint. Did not get space I was sold/ expected. Some staff on noisy phone calls

The venue is as advertised, beautiful, clean and very friendly staff..... Everything they sell you on the advert is as is on the property, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I'm definitely going to book them again.

Salty - A Bad Taste

The only redeeming factor of Salt is Veolia, the chef and helper.

We've stayed here prior, and can only attribute the extreme drop in standards to the change in ownership. We've corroborated this with both locals and foreigners who were here at the same time. Stay far away, it is a far cry from the Salt of old. We are double booked and moved into a tiny room with our 1 year old where we had zero space. The porter/night shift on weekdays was useless, to the point where he offered zero assistance to resolve issues with our room and others. Tried the call center to iron out issues with our room, having to explain myself 3 times to agents with no ticket to refer to nor history. Only to wait over 48 hours for it not to be resolved. Another victim to corporate South Africa.

I loved the friendliness of the staff as well as the breakfast.

There were three things I wasn't happy with. 1. The TV in our room, 'Melissa' could only play YouTube and nothing else. 2. The door of our room couldn't close without being locked. The door lock is fitted incorrectly. 3. We couldn't swim because the pool was dirty.

The place is really exquisite. It's walking distance from the beach, and the staff were wonderfully kind and friendly. They prepared a special breakfast for me, according to my dietary restrictions which I really appreciated.

I requested an early check-in which was granted via Booking.com but my room was not ready when I arrived at the accommodation. Communication can be improved.

Great value for money – well worth the stay!

The venue was conveniently located for my visit, and the décor had a unique and interesting charm. The room was well laid out, with comfortable bedding and good-quality beverages provided. I especially appreciated the curtains, which offered full privacy from outside view. The natural surroundings added to the relaxing atmosphere, and the overall environment felt peaceful and refreshing. I also felt very safe during my stay, thanks to the visible and reassuring security measures. The staff were attentive and made me feel truly welcome, which added a personal touch to the experience and made me feel right at home.

My meal preference is Kosher, so I would have welcomed a breakfast option without pork products. That said, I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose this venue again for future visits to Cape Town.

Value for money

Value or money for a overnight stay. Clean

As others have mentioned you cannot open the curtains then you look right into the room accross from you, and the lights were on outside the whole night so you cant really get fresh air by leaving open the curtains and windows. For an overnight stay it is perfect but wont recommend it for longer than a night or two in the specific room we had.

Overall an excellent stay in a really nice property which was very good value for money.

Very nice property in a good location for all of the bars and restaurants and the seafront. The outdoor and pool area are really nice and the is a great space for just relaxing. The area itself is very quiet.

If you are a light sleeper I would suggest avoiding the smaller rooms on the inside area as the walls are quite thin and if you are unfortunate enough to have a neighbour who snores loudly you may not sleep so well.

The property is close enough to the beach. Pretty quiet . Generally the decor and rooms are nice

I was unfortunately placed in a dirty smokers room even though I was assured that all room were non smoking. The electric fireplace was not working and the aircon at best was look warm. The smell of the room was disgusting and this for their premier room. I could even sleep there. Couldn’t get a refund because it’s against policy. I was really dissatisfied with my room and stay. Apparently the property has been sold and therefore staff are uncertain of their future and future of the place . Hence the service was not great.

Everything. Rumbi, Lucas, and Fortunate are SUPER friendly and helpful and accommodating. The vibe is excellent and they make sure that the guests are entertained and comfortable. The place is super clean and stunning. Best shower ever.

Absolutely wonderful stay

The room was spacious and beautifully furnished. Super comfortable king size bed. The included breakfast was delicious! Everything from cereals, yogurts and a hot full English breakfast. Staff were amazing, from check in to check out, nothing was too much trouble to ensure our stay was great. We highly recommend SALT Boutique and will definitely be back.

Poor Salt

Salt at first glance looked amazing. That is wjere the amazing part remained. The towels were old, torn and had a yellow residue on them. The bathmat was torn. There was a air freshner bottle...it was empty. The coach was dirty. During our stay they made the bed. Floor was not swept once. We had a litlle bottle wich was filled half way with milk. It was not re-filled. We had 1 teaspoon. There was a carpet that you had to avoid at all times, or you would trip over it. Breakfast was meant to be served from 07:30...when you arrived at 07:30 all you got was dirty kitchen. Kitchen staff only arrived at 07:45 and it was a scramble to set the "buffet". The staff was not friendly. It felt like we were intruding in their space. We checked out earlier, I don't think they even noticed. I would not recommend Salt to anyone.

Lovely place would definitely come back

The general aesthetic of the place is great I loved the feel and set up of it. Also loved the open window shower definitely a selling point.

It was disappointing that the pool was unavailable that day as they were doing maintenance on it. Maybe they could have told us in advance, also that they don’t particularly cater for people who don’t eat pork during breakfast what we chose had avocado as part of the meal but it was unavailable we asked for beans but they weren’t given so breakfast wasn’t enjoyable for us.

Cozy and beautiful

Friendly staff and the place, the lady at the reception and Clyde the chef were friendly and they even allowed us to leave our luggage at the reception before check-in and also after check-out since we were taking the late flight

Everything was perfect💯 except that we ddnt get to get to eat the breakfast because we woke up late but Clyde(the chef) made us muesli n yogurt :)

I liked the cleanness, the rooms were clean. The breakfast was and the staff was friendly especially the colored talkative guy.

In my last day there was a noise coming from the upper room that disturbed my sleep. The noise wasn't nice but I do not want to speculate what the noise was about
