Incredible building with amazing history

It would be better if the bar was open and there was a coffee machine in the room.

The hotel is in a bad condition at the moment, it is not worth the money.

The location and scenic surroundings.

The hotel in undergoing renovation and there is unbearable noise starting from 8:00. We were waken up by drilling in our wall. I paid for a room with view but the windows were covered by the scaffolding. No compensation or even appology was offerred. The bathroom is outdated and mouldy. The corridors smell of sewage. Breakfast is poor. I attach photo of the "view" and of our scared child waken up by drilling.

Elegant old hotel, right at the top of the fortress with wonderful views

Great location right in the middle of the fortress. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful. Nice seating areas at each mezzanine. Restaurant along from the hotel had great views over the river and the food was good.

We selected a superior room with a fortress view, but in hindsight this was a mistake as the room was dark and the better views are over the Danube in sunnier rooms on the opposite side. No tea/ coffee making facilities in the room, they gave us a kettle but without cups or tea bags/ milk.

Fantastic location for Exit festival. Not worth for any other purposes

An old fort at great location overlooking Danube. Amazing views. But due to the heritage building, facilities are limited. Good for a short stay. Amazing for exit festival as nothing is as closer than this fort to the festival camp.

Old beddings and linen, poor A/c units, little plug points etc.. may be due to the old fort design. Limited F&B options and menu choices.

Beautiful location, fantastic stay.

We had a room with an excellent view. We were 3 girl friends on a vacation and we couldn't have asked a better stay. It was extremely comfortable and we even booked ourselves a massage which was superb.

Since there were 3 of us, we were provided with a sofa bed, Unfortunately that bed took away quite some space in the room and looked a bit tacky. Also, a kettle would have been nice, something I need and missed to check since it is available in almost all hotels these days.

A perfect place to get the spirit of Novi Sad

Great location, overlooking the Danube river and the town. Superbly maintained architechture & interior design, gets one right in the expected "vintage" atmosphere. Staff is very prompt, kind, knowledgeable, services are excellent. Very good breakfast, the right variety and quality food. Restaurants nearby superb, with great view also of the river & town, very good service and perfect food choice.

Internet could be a hint more stable. :)

The best you can get in Novi Sad

Hotel Leopold is the best hotel you can get in Novi Sad. Beautiful views on city and Danube in the nights. There are plenty of bars around the hotel which you can enjoy your views from. They're very affordable. Hotel staff was awesome and very helpful. You can order a very tasty foods and baverages to your room for very good price. Best pljeskavica with kajmak I ever had!

While the stay was pleasant overall, the breakfast could be improved — the selection was rather modest for a hotel of this category. The wellness area could be more relaxing with ambient music rather than playing the radio, which didn’t fully suit the spa environment. As someone who is 1.86m tall, I found the bed slightly short, which affected the overall comfort a little.

extraordinary place in an old fortress

Excellent hotel, unfortunately the quality of the bad is weak - could not sleep on the matrass - also the bad is not ok for tall people and not the last part - the fabric linen on the bad, chairs, etc - leave the feeling of old and not clean (it can be clean - but the feeling is that it is not hygienic...) should admit that the building and entire place look very nice and unique, also the restaurant oversizing the city - is something which you can see everyday. I'm sorry for the weak evaluation but the sleeping is very important a decision of hotel choosing, otherwise I was very impressed by this place

I like this place. When I go Novi Sad I choose this hotel usually. Extramly friendly staff. Breakfast is good. Room is also comfortable, clean and good. I prefer the city view, but I have no problem with the frotress view as well. I was on the garni side (2nd floor) which also good but the first floor is very nice, romantic and peacefull. Young staff helpfull in the breakfast/restaurant area, but the girl in the reception is helpfull and lovely. The hotel on the top of the city. I offer it for everybody.

I really like everything here. One thing that is not disturbing but rather strange is that when there is a big storm/wind, the 2nd floor is the noisiest (Garni side).

Nice place and perdect and friendly staff. Breakfast is also perfect. View from the hotel is sensational. I think this is the best place in Novi Sad. Unique things the background moods music in the hotel. I love this hotel.

The entire place made you feel like in a fairytale . The staff extremly nice and helpfull. Big plus for being pet friendly , our dog was very welcome and all the staff was nice to him .

Beautiful historic hotel with gorgeous views of Novi Sad

We had a lovely, spacious suite with a beautiful river view. The hotel itself is fabulous - you feel like you are stepping back in time once you enter the front doors. The staff were particularly friendly and accommodating - it was my birthday while we were staying at the hotel, and I received some fabulous cakes and pastries with my morning coffee, which I very much appreciated. Golub at the restaurant was particularly friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Thank you! Breakfast was lovely too, and there are many dinner options at the Fortress - all with a great view of Novi Sad.

The curtains in our room looked a bit tired, and like they had seen better days. Also they do not have any lining so it is quite bright in the morning - perhaps that is a good thing, as it gets you out of bed early and gives you more time to explore beautiful Novi Sad and Petrovaradin!

Exceptional location and staff. Everybody, from reception desk to restaurant staff were always ready to help. In the nearby Museum a faboulous exhibition started for great women of Novi Sad, in this case the great Mileva Marić Einstein.

Very Good Experiance. I hope i never had the shower problem

Location was amazing and all the design of the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and all the staff was so good.

When it was time for shower, the shower was flooding of water. I had to do fast shower.
