Villa San Filippo

Very beautiful property with very nice views and good location, also kind staff.

I would suggest also having hair conditioner in the rooms, as now there is only shampoo. Pool stays open until 18:30, but since it is summer and sun sets late would be nice if it was opened for longer.

La villa è immersa in un paesaggio naturale davvero meraviglioso, con i tipici panorami toscani che rendono l’atmosfera rilassante e suggestiva. Le piscine sono molto grandi, unica pecca forse è che sono un po’ rovinate ma comunque piacevoli! La camera pulita, spaziosa e confortevole. Ho apprezzato molto anche il kit di cortesia. Un ringraziamento speciale allo staff, che è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile!

Assenza di un supporto dove poter far asciugare al sole i costumi e gli asciugamani bagnati dopo aver utilizzato la piscina.

De villa is prachtig. De kamers ruim en schoon. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk en wil je overal bij helpen. De zwembaden waren ook super met het hete weer, met comfortabele bedjes. Veel steden zijn op rij afstand (Siena, San Gimignano en Florence (zijn we met de trein vanuit Poggibonsi heen gegaan)). Er zit ook een heel leuke en kleinschalige wijnproeverij op 10 minuten loopafstand. Op 10 minuten rijden ligt Baberino Val di Elsa waar je heerlijk kan eten bij Triocche met een mooi uitzicht. Wij vonden het verblijf met heerlijk ontbijt een grote aanrader!!

The pool is large and clean and was a welcome cool-down on a hot day. The view over the landscape is stunning.

The receptionist gave us the worst room of the whole property, directly under the roof in a small tower. I guess he didn’t like that we booked via booking.com as he made a certain remark at the check-in. Although the air conditioning was fully running, the room was simply too hot due to the hot weather outside. We kindly went back to the reception asked if we could get another room. The receptionist answered that he’s sorry as the property is already fully booked, which was simply a lie. Back in the room I checked again on booking.com and saw that there were still rooms available for booking. Disappointing for such a nice place.
