About this villa rental
The Dream Villa is a luxurious residence nestled among the woods of the Mediterranean scrub in the exclusive Vulcanello area, surrounded by prestigious villas, at an altitude of 70 meters above sea level.
Built in the early 1970s by the famous television host Mike Bongiorno, who owned it for many years, the villa was a gathering place for celebrities such as Walter Chiari, Miranda Martino, and other notable figures from the entertainment world of that golden era, making it the center of glamorous social events.
Due to its spaciousness, the villa is ideal for hosting multiple families or a group of friends. It is just a 10-minute walk from the famous Black Sand Beach.
It is the perfect choice if you dream of a relaxing vacation. Leave your car in the villa's private parking, enjoy the sun on the Black Sand Beach, read your favorite magazines just a few steps from the swimming pool, and free your mind with a walk through the villa’s garden and park, surrounded by tropical plants and stunning succulents.
Villa Features
The villa consists of 8 bedrooms, including 5 suites with en-suite bathrooms and showers, and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. It also includes a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with a fireplace, an entrance hall, a dining area, and a spacious covered patio that runs along the entire villa, providing access to the individual suites, all of which are independent.
The villa can accommodate up to 17 people.
In the large fenced park, there are 3 additional guesthouses (dependances), each with a private bathroom and shower, capable of accommodating 12 more people.
With these guesthouses, the total capacity of the estate reaches 29 guests.
The interiors are meticulously curated and furnished with traditional pieces, many of which belonged to the original owner. Even today, the villa retains a timeless charm that pervades its atmosphere.
Designed in the classic Aeolian architectural style, the villa is all on one level. The floors are hand-decorated Sicilian ceramic tiles from Santo Stefano di Camastra, carefully restored to match the original designs and colors.
The perimeter wall is adorned with 20 ceramic vases from Caltagirone, depicting Moorish Heads crafted by the renowned 1960s/70s ceramist Alessi (some have unfortunately suffered damage over time).
Comfort & Outdoor Spaces
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and feature a private covered terrace with tables and chairs, overlooking the swimming pool.
Windows are fitted with mosquito nets.
The 14,000-square-meter garden and park is well-maintained and features flowers, evergreen plants, pine trees, ficus benjamina, exotic plants, succulents, a fruit orchard, and a vegetable garden. The perimeter is lined with a row of evergreen olive trees.
The property can also be accessed by helicopter.
Pool & Entertainment
The 15 x 8-meter swimming pool features a children’s area and a wide staircase for easy access.
The pool area includes showers, umbrellas, tables, and sun loungers for complete relaxation.
A traditional Aeolian wood-fired oven, a stone barbecue, and a large terrace provide the perfect setting for children's games and unforgettable evenings with friends.

I rented this property for a small women's retreat that I hosted. It was perfect! Villa dei Sogni is truly the most beautiful and wonderful vacation stay property I have ever experienced. It is far more expansive and beautiful than the photos can show. There is something truly magical about this land. I could not get enough of the view of the volcano. It was powerful, soothing and peaceful, and there is even the shape of a heart in the natural curves of the rocks on the side of the volcano. Everything about this property is exceptional and very special. And the hosts... Stefania and Sergio are above and beyond accommodating. Their communication is exceptional. The cook, Sabrina is so gifted. She pours her soul into the food and you can feel the love in every bite. She is an excellent chef. The food was so delicious. I hired Sabrina to cook for us every lunch and dinner we were at the villa and I am so happy with this decision. I feel like I now have a new Sicilian family. If you are considering renting this villa, I highly recommend that you do. Everything about our stay there was perfect! If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

I traveled with 6 friends and we had an amazing stay.
Our host, Sergio, contacted me before we began our travel with suggestions of things to do and contacts for individuals who could help us. We took advantage of his suggestion for a cook our first evening there. Alessandra, who was so welcoming, made us a memorable dinner with local ingredients.
At Sergio’s suggestion, we also worked with Deborah to book a private boat to take us to Panarea and Stromboli. That had to be the highlight of the trip- seeing the sunset over the sea and then the volcano at Stromboli erupt into the night sky.
Back to the villa. It is roomy, comfortable and well stocked. The grounds had gardens and beautiful plantings. The large patio overlooks the smoldering volcano and the sea. We loved the kitchen with its central island where we gathered around almost every evening to make dinner while enjoying the local wine.
If you plan to go off season (our visit was in late April) know that many of the businesses on these smaller islands are closed. Also, if the pool is important to you- be sure to ask the host if they have opened it for the season. That said- there is plenty to do on Volcano and it is easy to take ferries to the other islands.
We found everyone to be exceptionally nice and helpful and the Villa a great place to stay to enjoy it all.

We had a fabulous time in the Villa dei Sogni.
The villa is beautiful, most likely the best in the island, with a stunning view over the port and the vulcano, a giant pool (very rare in the area) that the kids loved and a lush garden. The house is very spacious, tastefully decorated respecting the local style and traditions. We were 8 people and had tons of space, but we could have easily been twice as many without compromising on comfort.
For a reasonable extra charge you can hire a cook, a local lady who is a goddess in the kitchen. We had the best pasta with seafood!
The hosts are very exquisite people, Stefania and her father Eustachio. Very helpful, very caring, helped me a lot organizing my transfer from the airport as well as renting a car and a boat on Vulcano.
All in all, a fantastic place , very highly recommended. My credo as a traveller is to never go back to the same place (life is too short and there are so many places to visit!) but for this villa I would happily make an exception!
