Marbella Beach Resort at Club Playa Real

Apartment has everything you need. Lots of space, nice location can walk to amenities and restaurants. Car was helpful to get further out. Very peaceful, clean, and great outdoor pool, but chilly in feb though but that can’t be helped.

Indoor pool could use some TLC but still a nice added extra.

It felt very exclusive, no huge crowds except for the weekend but even then it was local families so the atmosphere was rather chilled. The sea is shallow so ideal for kids although you can get big, strong waves too and in that case it can be hard to get in even for adults (I love this kind of sea, though). The buildings are literally 100m from the sea with no roads to cross etc, which is fantastic. We are not a pool type of family but the pools there looked great, with many sun lounges. There is a restaurant on the beach which offers a great selection of food at a reasonable price, our food was delicious, the staff super accommodating and the ambience superb, with the beachfront view. The buildings are in top shape, you can tell that maintenance is top priority so although the buildings have the aesthetics of a different decade, everything feels brand new. You can tell that whoever built this complex loved the project and used the best materials out there. We also loved that there's a limited number of units while some of the other hotels/developments in the area had a huge number of rooms and looked crowded and not as well kept. Our unit had two terraces. The one that you access from the dining room has a large outdoor table, sun loungers and a large shade umbrella; this has a beautiful sea view. From this terrace, an external staircase leads to the second terrace, which has multiple Sun loungers for when you need a more private sunbathing session, I believe. This also faces the sea but you will only see it if you stand up and even then I don't think that guests from nearby units would be able to see you. Our unit had 3 large bedrooms and two bathrooms (one ensuite), everything was spotless. There is a free parking lot in front of the complex and you can also request for paid parking inside the premises. We used the former. This place is great for excursions to places like Marbella and Málaga, which are interesting, fun cities to visit.

We liked everything

We having been coming here every year for a while now. Love the location and quiet. Close enough for trips/evenings out to Marbella..

For the first time we had a couple of issues with the Apartment.. if you put the hob on it tripped the electric and turned off the air conditioning! Had to have maintenance round on numerous occasions to sort for us. In addition the lift was out of order for the whole week and only repaired in time to bring our suitcases down for journey home.

The view from our room was fantastic and the ground were well maintained.

There is a real issue with not having reception after a certain time. One evening I forgot my key card and there was no-one to contact. My Mother is 82 and has a disability. I also had my daughter with me and we were left stranded with no-one to contact in a situation like this, which can happen easily to anyone. we had to ask a neighbour to allow us to stay in their apartment overnight. 24 hr reception is a MUST as the service at this location are very limited and this has put me off coming back. A Porter should always be available with Master keys to helps in situations like this.
