Perfect for Those Wanting a Quieter City Break

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice with plenty of hot water. Tea or coffee making facilities would have been nice as would a little table or chairs, but the room was possibly not large enough to support that, these are all wish list items though, they did not spoil our stay. The walls are a little thin, but we still had a good nights sleep as other guests were not noisy. The staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly, before and during our stay. Breakfast was nice too, with plenty there. Bus 31 from outside the hotel went to the Metro station for easy travel into the city.

Fantastic stay with lovely staff and great breakfast!

We arrived very late (23:30) due to a long day of travel, and Georgi kept us updated of where to park/how to get to our room. It was very helpful and reassuring as we would be arriving so late/in the dark. The B&B is very quiet and nestled in a residential area. It was very beautiful and the rooms were lovely with many cute/cosy decorations! Also two small cups of hard pretzel/bread nibbles were left out in our room which was a very sweet gesture! Breakfast was fabulous, as to be expected in France, and there were plenty of options. Very lovely stop off as we travelled!

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The owner was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The location was great.

The only downside was that the walls were quite thin, so there was some noise from neighboring rooms.

Beautiful B and B, room was very clean, perfect hot shower lovely garden and tasty breakfast,host was very helpful also the young lady on reception this morning was lovely and also spoke very good English. We definitely found a little quiet gem away from the city centre.

Enjoyed ourselves

1-The breakfast was good especially the croissants. 2-There was free parking. 3-The staffs are very curtious 4- breakfast serves at 8am, but since we wanted to leave early, they set up the breakfset early by 30 mins. Really appreciated it.

1- if you open the Window, there’s mosquitos 2- parking was limited. We arrived early, so we had a proper parking. But someone that arrived later, he parked at the edge that makes us goin out very difficult. The reception called the person, he said he would be out soon. We waited for more then 30 mins, still he did not come out. We finally decided to try going out with moving forward n backwards maybe around 20 times. Maybe perhaps the hotel should have hold those car keys thats blocking the rest as some people are really self centered 3- wish there would be a boiler in the room so we could make some tea. The reception did offer to boil the water, but were too tired to go out of the room

Friendly host.. clean spacious room and bathroom.. fyi no elevator/lift.. breakfast okay, standard continental... host recommended a restaurant on bank of Saone river for evening meal.. twenty minute walk but worth it.. also get a 10% discount if you mention you're staying at Lyon Amour.

I was just staying for a night on my way up north so it was perfectly fine for me... it's a bit far from Lyon downtown.. you would really need to drive or use a taxi

Charming but with some drawbacks

Florentine at reception is a gem! The owner and his wife also went out of their way to provide a homemade vegan option for breakfast upon request which was very considerate and appreciated (otherwise, the vegan options for their continental breakfast would just be plain bread, black coffee/tea, and apples)! While not very close to the downtown core, it connects via 1 train and 1 bus which conveniently stops literally 5 minutes from the building.

Be warned that the walls are paper thin! With no exaggeration, we could even hear another guest coughing from a few rooms away. Anyone talking in their room can be heard quite clearly. Due to this, we felt the need to whisper at all times so large and/or young families or groups of friends should take this into consideration. While parking is both free and safe, there wasn't a lot of room for spaces so it had to be coordinated with the owner to ensure everyone was able to get in and out when needed.

Very clean and the receptionist checked a resteraunt booking for us, which was really appreciated.

Check in staff were very good and made us feel welcome and explained all of the facilities to us and what to expect for breakfast.

Very tight to enter the property from the road. Needed two attempts. not much the owners could do about that though, but, if you do have a large SUV or pick up style vehicle...good luck.

Our least favourite of the holiday but it was by no means bad, just others were excellent.

The rooms were very clean. They were equipped very nicely. The location was just a short drive from the town centre. The aircon worked very well in the rooms. The receptionist on the day of departure was really nice and helpful.

The driveway is narrow, awkward to turn into, and if all the rooms have been filled, a little tight on room in the parking area. Although he seemed fine with me, the owner's manner annoyed my wife, who felt it was brusque, and not exactly welcoming. I think he was concerned with the parking and making sure he had enough room, but yes, it left a slight sense of something. In the room we stayed, the beams are low and I was bent over double most of the time I was in the room in case I hit my head. The breakfast was pleasant enough, but not plentiful. One had to wait for stuff to be brought out or replenished.

We loved the room, it was spacious, clean and everything you’d need for a trip! The host was lovely and accomodating - he even gave us an upgrade to a bigger room! We loved the garden and the included breakfast was fresh!

I have been staying here, since the BnB was established. Quiet and Green area. Cosy and clean rooms to feel like home. Great autitude by the Hosts, easy and fast ways to access Downtown Lyon. Definitely will continue to come.

Cute B&B in Lyon.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, lovely room. Free parking was very convenient. Breakfast was simple but delicious! Fresh bread and croissants along with the usual breakfast fare.

It's a bit difficult to get a big car up the driveway, but this is not the properties' fault. Lyon is a very old city so many of the streets are very small.

The location was a convenient drive to the heart of the city. There were a couple restaurants and a bakery within walking distance. The host family was very helpful with trip planning and spoke multiple languages. It was a good value for the money. It was great to have parking available.
