Simply wonderful

Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds and great kitchen area. The location is perfect for walking the South West coast path. Bus stop at the bottom of the hill. Penzance is a nice bus ride away and the bus station in Penzance takes you far and wide and the train station is just over the road . Fresh fish shops about a 5 minute walk . 10 minute walk and a well stocked Co-op a bit further along the road. We went on the train so didn’t have a car and certainly didn’t need one! The information left in the cottage by the owners was excellent and they had obviously put a lot of thought into it to helping people staying at Walter. The owners left a us bread, milk, jams and some cakes. We were so impressed with the cottage and the location that the day we got home we booked again for next year.

Fab little place

Great position. Lovely little place with easy walking routes to nearby villages and facilities. Glad it was just outside Penzance, nearing Mousehole.

Having to pay for parking, not a massive amount, but still having to pay. Hardly no on-street parking nearby. Had to do several loads to and from car, as no nearby stopping place.

Cornwall September 25

The property was clean & tidy, spacious on the inside and comfortable for a family of 4 with a double bed and 2 single beds. The shower had good pressure and the bathroom was well lit. The living room was a good size and the kitchen had plenty of space. Only thing to remember is that the property is on a hill and parking is limited in the nearby long stay car park, if you can't find a space you have to park at the bottom of the hill and walk the hill!

A Perfect Stay.

We loved Walter! Beautifully appointed, there was everything we could possibly need. Great welcome pack too. The hosts were attentive and friendly. The place was spotlessly clean. It was great wandering down to eat at Mackerel Sky and Argoe. The crab soup at the pub at the Red Lion was exceptional.

Google Maps couldn't find the property. We had to ask a passing local where it was. We found the car park and the reserved parking area easy enough. It would be helpful to state that you turn left up the hill, as the white cottage directly ahead is also number 6!

Really clean, beautiful cottage, had everything we needed and a great location! Hosts left us bread and butter with Jam etc which was a lovely touch 👍

Nothing really, if we were being picky maybe a toilet in the bathroom rather than a separate room and with having a pram getting up a steep hill to the cottage gave us a good workout 😄

Great location. Newlyn has such character. Mousehole, Penzance & other places well worth a visit. So glad we came. Plenty of very good restaurants and pubs nearby. Comfortable, warm cottage. Facilities very good, with comfy beds.

Very comfortable stay- good entertaining space to have a few friends around to dinner.

Lovely old cottage in a quiet street in Newlyn. Has all the facilities you need and an easy location to get to the local shops and restaurants. Half an walk to Penzance or Mousehole (or hop on a bus).

A steep hill to get to the cottage so not for the unfit but the car park is closer than the the main road if you do struggle.

Ideaal voor heerlijke vakantie in Cornwell. Prachtige omgeving, veel leuke activiteiten mogelijk, heerlijk huisje met werkelijk alles erop en eraan. Goed bereikbaar met openbaar vervoer en op loopafstand van winkels.

Wer Penzance besuchen möchte und eine Unterkunft nah am Hafen möchte schaut euch das mal an.

Da unser Flug 24 Stunden verspätet war konnten wir von den zwei Nächten, natürlich nur noch eine geniessen. Das finden der Unterkunft war nicht ganz leicht, die Nachbarn wussten auch nichts. Aber nach einiger Zeit haben wir auch dieses Rätsel gelöst. Eine Tafel mit dem Namen zur Gasse gerichtet hätte da sehr geholfen. Die Unterkunft war wie auf den Bilder gesehen, sehr nett und herzig eingerichtet. Sogar ein Frühstück wurde bereitgestellt. Wirklich sehr gut. Schade konnten wir es nicht zur gebuchten Zeit nutzen. Es kam uns zu kurz vor. Der Parkplatz in der Nähe scheint eher immer voll zu sein, aber wir bekamen den letzten und so gesehen okay. Das heisst es gibt kein Parkplatz zur Unterkunft, nur öffentlich. Die Lage ist sehr gut und die Gegend schien ruhig zu sein. Jedenfalls als wir da waren.

Gute Beschilderung wäre erwünscht. Z.B. Haus Walter hier.

Prachtig oude cottage, geschikt voor maximaal 4 personen.

Geweldige cottage in een oud straatje van Newlyn. Het is voorzien van alle benodigdheden die je kan bedenken. Rustige locatie, vlakbij de haven. Prima uitvalsplek om Cornwall (west Penwith) te ontdekken. De kliffen van Cornwall zijn prachtig.
