Villa Aurélio

my whole family had a wonderful time in Villa Aurelio, villa is massive and it had everything it needs. Gina is such a lovely host and we couldn’t be more happier with our stay. Few things such as problem with flush on toilet in main bedroom, but it’s easy to fix and there are two other toilets. Property is on great location with beautiful views. Kitchen is little bit old but it wasn’t an issue for us as there was everything we needed. We’ve had few pet visitors such as stray cats and dogs which were so friendly and made our stay even better. So please look after them when you come :) We will definitely be back at Villa Aurelio one day 😊

We are a family of 5 and spent 6 days in Vila Aurélio. The house is really big and spacious. Gina is a lovely and very friendly host. Sea view, big terrace, quiet area, perfect! Campanário is a perfect base location for excursions throughout the island. Situated in the central south you are quickly in Funchal and Ribeira Brava as well as in the hiking areas in the centre of the island. The house has a garage where you can park and even e-charge your car.

The biggest problem for us was the fact that the house is really cold. There is no central heating and no fireplace. We found two small mobile radiators, but they were not strong enough to heat up the living room. Luckily there are many blankets in the house. But when you do not come in winter it should not be a problem. It is quite moist in the house, especially in the bathrooms, where there are some moldy ceilings. Overall the house and the interior could need some renovation.
