A little off the main stretch, quiet spot. It was very close to Toft’s dairy and that’s a must have. It’s a 15 min drive from Cedar Point. It was clean and staff was very friendly. Nice little kitchen area with microwave and fridge.
It’s run like an air bnb and not a hotel. No formal check in, everything was done through online form and room code sent to you. Rooms had loud older AC units. There are no phones, which was fine for those of us with cell phones, but my 80 year old mother doesn’t use or have a cell phone. We went into the amusement park early and she can’t get going early, so for safety we had to leave a cell phone behind and do a training session with her to make sure she could get help in case of fire or medical emergency. The rooms were recently renovated, and I would say quickly. The floor laminate looks new, but there is freshly spattered paint on it in the closets and room edges, like someone came in and blitzed painting and didn’t clean up. There was nowhere to hang the bath towels. There is a rack above the toilet, but if you hang a wet towel there it will be too long and sit on the toilet. So we used hangers in the closet and hung the wet towels in the closet to dry. An outside light next to the door was on all night and there is no switch inside or out to turn it off. There is also no curtain on the frosted window on the door, so we had a bright light shining into our room all night.

The place was nice for a motel, with free coffee, wi-fi, and a comfy bed. The location was fine for driving into town or to Cedar Point, and puts you away from the crowds. A/C unit was appreciated.
The cell service is poor in the area, so ensure you have your room number and access code (sent digitally - link is in the email, not the Booking message) in advance of arrival. We had to drive to find a stable connection to get our room number. There was also an agreement form that must be signed in advance, and it took several tries to get a working link from the motel. The motel rep was helpful with getting this resolved.
For room 9, be very careful with the water spout in the bath — it seemed very fragile.

It was nice and cozy for my boyfriend, and I. We only stayed the night since we were in town for a festival. The bed was super comfortable not to firm. The living room was cute, and cozy. The festival was only a 8 minute drive from the Inn which was amazing. About 12/15 minutes from the main drag in Sandusky as well if you needed to grab any last minute things. Would stay again.
When we got back to the Inn at night we were having issues getting in our room. We tried the lock six or seven times. Finally it opened. I was almost ready to phone the Inn because I didn't know what else to do. Also make sure you bring silverware, pans, and so on if you're going to cook. The Roku stick, and firestick remotes wanted to die, and you couldn't watch anything because it wasn't logged in. I did bring my firestick, and logged into the wifi and just used that. So it wasn't a huge deal.

The room was clean, and the AC/Heater unit worked very well. Communication was quick.
I do wish there was an additional lock on the door, like a chain or something to lock from the inside, for security purposes. It would have felt a bit safer to have a secondary lock other than just a code key pad.

This is clearly an old motel/motor lodge that is in the process of being refurbished. Our room was very nice and the location had perfect access for our visit to Cedar Point. I will look forward to see how they complete the rest of the property and would gladly stay there again for the value and location.
There were a few hiccups with the online booking and check-in process, but it was all ironed-out in time for our stay. The property managers texted me, which was of great help in basic communications.
