穀倉改建的工業風設計風格和內裝都很有水準，包括公共區域和房間，還有絕佳採光。管家很細心，天熱還預備水果和涼甜湯。晚間還有露天電影，庭園很舒服。 地點就在木造竹田老車站前，車站周邊環境也整理得很清爽，很適合散步吹風。特色咖啡館、冰淇淋店、醬油釀造場都在步行範圍。
最好是認識的人共用一個樓層，這樣用浴廁比較自在。 室內密閉玻璃可以降低戶外聲響，但小雙人房緊鄰淋浴室，水龍頭開關和水管流水聲都很清楚。幸好隔壁房客十點前就洗浴入睡。 其實老穀倉建築加上通透式設計，物理上很難減噪，有一好沒兩好。所以最好房客們彼此提醒降低音量和步伐。如果是包棟，那就一起熱鬧把。
