Πλήρως ανακαινισμένη μονοκατοικία.

La cosa che ci è piaciuta di più della struttura è sicuramente lo spazio: eravamo in quattro e avevamo davvero tutto il necessario per stare comodi, con due camere matrimoniali e una camera con due letti singoli, quindi ognuno ha potuto scegliere dove dormire e avere il proprio spazio. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato anche della frutta e dell’acqua in frigorifero, un piccolo gesto che abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo. La casa era pulita e curata e aveva anche un piccolo giardinetto davvero carino, che è diventato uno dei nostri angoli preferiti: facevamo colazione fuori, ci fermavamo a fumare una sigaretta, giocavamo a carte e semplicemente passavamo del tempo insieme. In generale, ci siamo sentiti davvero a casa. È stata una struttura che abbiamo vissuto e non semplicemente utilizzato come posto dove dormire, ed è proprio questo che ci è piaciuto di più. Ci siamo trovati tutti benissimo e ci è piaciuta davvero tantissimo.

Sinceramente, non abbiamo trovato nulla che non ci sia piaciuto della struttura. La casa era davvero perfetta per le nostre esigenze, l’accoglienza è stata impeccabile e non abbiamo avuto nessun tipo di problema durante il soggiorno. Se proprio dovessi trovare un piccolo aspetto da segnalare, più che altro riguarda la posizione: per arrivare in centro a Chania sono circa 25-30 minuti a piedi e in alcuni punti c’è qualche salita. Dopo una giornata al mare o soprattutto dopo una bella cena, con la pancia piena e magari un po’ di stanchezza, può essere leggermente impegnativo tornare a casa a piedi. Però è davvero un dettaglio minimo e assolutamente soggettivo. Anzi, la posizione ha anche il suo vantaggio: essendo un po’ più distante dal centro, abbiamo sempre trovato parcheggio senza problemi, cosa che probabilmente sarebbe stata molto più complicata alloggiando proprio in centro. E poi, come se non bastasse, ogni giorno avevamo anche la compagnia di qualche gattino diverso che veniva a farci visita, cosa che abbiamo adorato! 🐱 Quindi, se proprio devo trovare qualcosa da dire, è soltanto questo piccolo aspetto legato alla distanza dal centro, ma non lo considererei assolutamente un vero difetto della struttura. Per il resto, non abbiamo davvero nulla di cui lamentarci.

- very spacious house, we were six people (four adults and two kids) and it was great for our family - very clean - had a washing machine, we could wash our clothes every evening ; and plenty of space outside to dry the clothes - each bed room had air conditioning which was essential given the Cretan Summer heat - the kitchen was fairly well equipped with a toaster, ability to warm up food, fridge and freezer and dishes and cutlery - the hosts left us some water and fresh fruit on arrival, that was great when we arrived - there's a lovely garden , with great smells from the flowers and a nice table where you can eat breakfast outside - the nearest beach is at 30-minutes walk - this can be nice if you want to see the town, but can also be tiring (especially for the kids) when coming back after a day at the beach

- there was no coffee maker - we had to go to coffee shops around to buy coffee; while that was ok (some nice coffee shops in the neighbourhood, some of them quite fun and original - especially the one across the local church), I think that the hosts could make a small investment to buy a capsule based coffee maker to allow the guests to make fresh coffee in the morning - the WiFi was flaky and we had to restart the router at least once a day to make it work - the TV was kinda weird, it was plugged out at arrival and we had to plug it out every time to actually shut it down (good for the planet I guess, but weird) - the hosts didn't tell us about the free bus rides to the Chania City Center from the close-by park&ride - THIS IS AN IMPORTANT INFORMATION that we didn't know in the first few days (and that's not available information on the Chania Bus website either)
